Acrisius, the king of Argos, had a beautiful daughter named Danae. The king was told by the Oracle of the Sun god Apollo that Danae’s son would take over his fertile land. To thwart the prophecy, Acrisius imprisoned his daughter in a bronze, underground chamber.
But Zeus came to the entombed Danae in the form of a shower of golden light entering thru a crack in the roof of her chamber. Perseus was the demigod offspring of this unusual union between Zeus, the King of the gods, taking advantage of the Sun god’s omen, to appear as a shower of golden light, & Danae, a human being from the fertile plain – Princess of the golden agricultural Argos of ancient Greece.
Perseus is the oldest of the Greek heroes, 3 generations before that other great hero Hercules, who was 1 generation before the Trojan War. Depictions of his beheading of the Gorgon Medusa are the earliest scenes from mythology appearing in art.
Hermes & Athena counselled him to seek the advice of the 3 Graiai, the very wise sisters of the Gorgons. The 3 old witches shared one tooth & one eye between them & Perseus stole the eye, promising to return it only if the Graiai told where he could find the nymphs who had the cap of Hades, which made its wearer invisible. He also wanted a special bag to safely keep the severed head of Medusa, whose lethal stare still had power to kill even after death. Naturally, the Graiai wanted their eye back, so Perseus got what he wanted.
Wielding Athena’s shield of Wisdom, Hades’ helmet of invisibility, Hermes’ winged sandals, & a special sickle of adamantine, he was able to do the deed.
This is peak week to receive, like Danae, the shooting stars which can turn wishes into the birthing of deeds. Perseus, the precursor of Michael must be reborn in us. We must cut off the head of the old way of thinking to consciously ‘Speak with the Stars’, thru the heart – upholding Wisdom, with healing wings, we can reveal the underworld, & forge the golden light into an iron will for good.

Greetings! My name is Ultra-Violet Archer, a 2018 graduate of the Chicago Waldorf School.I am inviting you to be co-creators of a walking-learning journey taking place in the heartland this coming August.
For ten days, myself, a group of fellow journeyers, and maybe even you, will walk out our living questions across the Midwestern landscape, forging connection with each other, those we meet along the way, and the land itself. Our journey begins in Madison, Wisconsin on August 8th and ends at Elderberries Bio-dynamic Outpost and Threefold Cultural Hub in Chicago Illinois on the 18th.
Along the way we will share food, song, and story, while meeting and holding conversation with local food, farm, and community initiatives. Classroom Alive is the name of the game, and we’d love for you to become a fellow player.

His ‘brought down to earth visioning’, is serving the youth in one of the poorest parts in Detroit where entrepreneurs for the good are in training, not only learning to support their own livelihoods but also empowering change in their communities where devastating health and environmental issues abound: his inspired ideas for our time keep unfolding new forms for these youth! 
Kait Ziegler of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, and Repairers of the Breach, working with Reverends William Barber and Liz Theoharis, and a small beyond dedicated team, will share on this ‘turning inside out’ and what it takes to organize for social change along side of four pillars: Racism, Poverty, Ecological Devastation and the War/Prison Economy which requires a new narrative above all and a capacity to work with those who have very divergent views in the activist community. John Bloom of Rudolf Steiner Finance and General Secretary of the Anthropsophical Society will offer a conversation Toward Justice and Freedom and Capital, Money, Spirit and Matter.
Nicanor Perlas, a long time advocate for social change in the Philippines and youth mentor, will shape a conversation around ‘The Future will be what we Fight For’. His country continues to be on lockdown where they are not allowed to go outside their houses even for food and whose president recently said that he ‘would work with the military to distribute the vaccine’.
Laura Summer of Free Columbia, an art and education initiative in Philmont New York, will present on New Forms Around Art – Art Dispersal and Local Grants to increase diversity in diverse communities. Art Accessible to 100% of the People!

Hi Hazel,
I am glad for you to continue this exploration of Perseus. You offer the very relevant clue from the Sun Oracle Apollo. Steiner would reveal that Apollo would incarnate as Jesus of Nazareth, ref. GA 149.
But, in your discourse, we have much earlier incarnations to be concerned about. Placing Perseus before Hercules before the Trojan War is an item of genius, and I hope you got that from yourself. Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey help trace the origins of the Greek epoch in which Thinkers began to experience Michael working on them from outside.
Perseus will always be the son-in-law of Cepheus, and I guess the one who makes a sacrifice of themself will always be left in the lurch in getting any due recognition. In other words, it was Cepheus who literally invited his own son to plunge the dagger into the jugular for the purpose of the primal mixing of physical blood with the sun forces. So, why shouldn’t a hero be a hero?
This article gives a good description of the Cosmic Mystery of Perseus, and the writer, David Ulansey , would go on to write the definitive book, which is very spiritual-scientific in it own way without even acknowledging Rudolf Steiner.

You see, standing above the central motif of the Tauroctony, or bull slaying by the sun hero, is an array of the 12 signs of the zodiac, and they are depicted in backward order, from Pisces to Aries. In other words, from Pisces to Aquarius to Capricorn to Sagittarius to Scorpio to Libra to Virgo to Leo to Cancer to Gemini to Taurus to Aries. Thus, the astral stream of evolution seen as taking nearly 26 thousand years to fulfill. This points to the sacrifice of the Bull (Cepheus) as the primal event. Without the transference of physical blood to the sun forces, what could an elaborate feet-to-head spiritual development mean?
Hazel, you developed this scenario yourself over the 12 days of Christmas from December 25th 2019 to January 6, 2020. It could not have been more true, and maybe we are getting the chance to reveal its primal motivation in this discourse.
One thing that Steiner seems to have curiously left out of account in his description of the present Consciousness Soul Age, c. 1413, is that it also represents the beginning of a new evolutionary cycle. The Sun in Aries passes to Pisces in 1413.
This, in itself, must mean something, and likely important. A new evolutionary cycle begins when the 12th sign of Aries passes over to the 1st sign of Pisces in 1413. Yet, how was the polar shift dealt with? We have talked about this for years, and how the Grace of God handled it. It was beautiful, and even gave us all a new perspective in this modern day and age.
You see, I truly believe that the lemniscate movement that the earth takes today is in response to Aries passing over to Pisces in 1413. Two loops with an intersection in the middle.
Steiner gives a good description of this process in his course, Man: Hieroglyphic of the Universe. He shows this lemniscate as taking place every day over the course of 24 hours, but it has to be depicted as horizontal in nature (occurrence). Thus, each day we and our earth stand just slightly higher in our evolutionary arc than the day before. The sun, as a result, falls behind by 3.3 seconds, and this is what causes/creates prescession of the equinoxes. The knot between the two loops becomes the great resolver, and we can thank Christ for that.

What had previously taken place in accordance with the Jahve principle, concerned the directions: outside in, rightside up, and forward.
With the entry of Christ Himself into earth evolution, this became reversed. Everything began to take place inside out for the first time. I am sure you can perceive this. But also with this are the other conditions involved in such a reversal. Outside in becomes inside out, rightside up becomes upside down, and forward becomes backward.
This is a good model, but difficult to understand. Yet, it allowed the passage from the 12th sign to the 1st sign to occur with little interruption of the extravagant kind. It was rather very interior and yielded the desired results without a major shift as had previously occurred with the demise of Atlantis.
Powerful contemplation.
