How we Think has consequences – in our actions – in relation to others – to nature, to ourselves, & in the course of human evolution…
Is there a way that human beings can see, & be, in & with, the world, so that we can take hold of the process of becoming in such a way that it constantly develops anew, thru this seeing & being – A seeing that becomes a cognition of the heart; a way of being that develops a moral life?
To be moral is to be in right relationship.
This is a living expression of spiritual reality – the essence behind the workings of this world. This kind of reality which we can seek to unveil for each other – which we can envision in every human being – is needed for us to become active co-creators – unfolding a reality of transformation – a humanizing – in all its relation-ships.
Rudolf Steiner advanced a quest for knowledge that sought & recognized the power of our personal development in the meeting with the world & thru the meeting with others. The act of knowing, becomes participation in these often challenging relationships, creating a wise perspective that is open to tolerance, developing interest, which can manifest Love.
Understanding ‘the other’ as a free human being, poses the difficult trial of understanding them thru their own concepts. Not always an easy thing, since we have to put our own opinions & judgement aside. According to Steiner in his “Philosophy of Freedom”: “…We must take over into our own spirit those concepts by which the other determines themselves.“
It is mutuality that enables knowing, which leads to empathy & understanding. Then a shared space can arise which not only has a center, but which is formed from the relationship of both “focal points.”

The other aspect of significance here, in relation to the secret of numbers, and here we are talking about the number twelve, concerns the twelve days before the birth of Joan of Arc. From December 25th to January 6th of the year 1412, when she was born, the Christ Impulse entered her and lay waiting for an important mission for her to conduct in relation to Sorath’s second evolutionary incarnation, c. 1332. Steiner spoke these memorable words about the Maid of Orleans:
“We are living in an age when natural initiations are becoming increasingly rare and will eventually disappear. Yet one initiation that could still essentially be called a natural initiation took place when the Christ impulse worked itself into the soul of the simple country girl, The Maid of Orleans. It was she who caused the victory of the French over the English. Again, not the human mind nor the talents of military leaders were decisive factors in changing the map of Europe so magnificently, but rather the Christ impulse working itself into the subconscious of the Maid of Orleans and inspiring her to radiate its presence in all of history.
We would now have to examine whether something similar could have occurred in the Maid of Orleans by way of natural initiation and ask whether her soul was inspired in the nights from the 25th day of December to the 6th of January.”

Dear Hazel,
You write these extraordinary words and then present an image of a man holding an open book in his left hand and his right hand extended. It makes me see the 4th occult seal picture. To his right appear former times, and to his left the kind of material strength seen with the pillar attributed to Boaz in the fourth seal. And your words:

You talked at the Whitsun festival about the Book of Ruth, and I had premonitions about it back then. This small book of just five pages and four chapters is very important as a consideration of today’s circumstances. Ruth as the wife of Boaz made me consider what her book is saying. As you likely know, Steiner’s lectures on the Gospel of Saint Luke contains important revelations about both the young man of Nain, and the daughter of Jairus. In fact, all three of the synoptic gospels, i.e., Matthew, Mark, and Luke, describe the raising of the daughter of Jairus, who was the official, or leader of the synagogue in Capernaum.
I had also blurted out something recently about the daughter of Jairus reincarnating as Joan of Arc, and the woman afflicted with the blood disease reincarnating as King Charles VII of France. Could this not be the further incarnations of Ruth and Naomi? Steiner indicates here, as do the other gospels, that this raising of the daughter of Jairus was a very secret and solemn occasion in which karma between the two women was of paramount consideration.
“Christ Jesus shows that He is able to see into the very depths of the physical corporeality and to work into it. This is revealed by the fact that His power is also able to have a healing effect upon illnesses rooted in the physical body. But for this to be possible there must be knowledge of the mysterious effects working from the physical body of one human being upon the physical body of another. When it is a matter of working spiritually, man cannot be regarded as a being enclosed in his skin. It has often been said that our finger is wiser than we are ourselves. Our finger knows that the blood can flow through it only if the blood is circulating normally through the whole body; our finger knows that it would wither away if it were severed from the rest of the organism. So too, if he would understand the conditions relating to the physical body, man must know that in respect of his physical organism he belongs to humanity as a whole, that influences are continually passing from one human being to another, and that he can in no way separate his physical health as an individual from the health of the whole of humanity. This principle will be admitted to-day in respect of the coarser influences but not in respect of the finer, because people cannot know the facts. In the following passage from the eighth chapter of St. Luke’s Gospel it is the finer, more delicate influences that are indicated.
“And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him. And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a-dying. But as he went the people thronged him. And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.“
(Luke VIII, 40–44.)
How can the twelve-year-old daughter of Jairus possibly be healed, for she is at the very point of death? This can only be understood if we know that the girl’s physical illness was connected with another phenomenon in another person, and that she cannot be healed independently of that other phenomenon. When this, child, now twelve years old, was born, a certain connection existed with another personality — a connection deeply grounded in Karma. Hence we are told that a woman who had suffered from a certain illness for twelve years, passed behind Christ and touched the border of His garment. Why is this woman mentioned here? It is because she was connected karmically with Jairus’ child! This twelve-year-old girl and the woman who had suffered for twelve years were deeply connected! And it is not without reason that a secret of number is indicated here: the woman with an illness suffered for twelve years approaches Jesus and is healed — and only now could He enter the house of Jairus and heal the twelve-year-old girl who was believed to be already dead.
Depths as great as these must be explored in order to understand the Karma that weaves between one human being and another! Then we can perceive the third way in which Christ worked — namely, upon the whole human organism. This must be especially borne in mind when we are considering the higher effects produced by Christ as presented in the Gospel of St. Luke.”

From those examples we must then look into our own karmic circle & then expand that circle to include the whole world to bring a clear picture to this world situation…
