Moon Rabbit

A Tang dynasty (618-906 AD) era mirror depicting the moon goddess with the moon rabbit.

Last night the winds of change unveiled Bella Luna in her Harvest fullness. My beloved & I went on a ramble. It was such a clear night that the Moon Rabbit was front & center. When my girl was little we had a book of Buddhist stories called the Jakata Tales – There was one that we loved where the Rabbit in the Moon is known as “Tsuki no Usagi”.

“Many years ago, the Old Woman of the Moon decided to visit the Earth. She disguised herself as a beggar & asked Fox (Kitsune), Monkey (Saru), & Rabbit (Usagi) for some food.

Monkey climbed a tree & brought her some fruit. Fox went to a stream, caught a fish, & brought it back to her. But Rabbit had nothing to offer but some grass. So he asked the beggar to build a fire. Then Rabbit jumped into it & offered the only thing he had: himself.

Quickly the beggar changed back into the Old Woman of the Moon & pulled Rabbit from the fire. She said “You are most kind, Rabbit, but don’t do anything to harm yourself. Since you were the kindest of all to me, I’ll take you back to the moon as a reminder to all of your selflessness”

The Old Woman carried Rabbit in her arms back to the Moon& he is still there to this very day. Just look at the moon in the night sky & the selfless Rabbit is there!”

Go and learn the meaning of the words, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ I did not come to call the righteous but sinners” (Matthew 9:12-13)

  1. Hi Hazel,

I think I see your moon rabbit in the arms of the full moon here on September 20, 2021. Yet, Steiner would acknowledge this scenario here in lecture five of GA 249. For me, I see a puppy in the arms of its master, who loves his puppy. I just lost one of these after fourteen years. Beloved Bronx. He was of the dachshund breed.

Okay, so here we go. Steiner says that the name of Parsifal is written in the full moon. So, what do you think that means? Is it a rabbit or a beloved pet?

    1. Quote from the pageant:

NOLA 3: ‘At first it is as if our thinking is enchanted in a castle – imprisoned behind stone walls –a fortified citadel. This is an image of the human skull. The sword of pure thinking which we must forge, wounds the brain-being resting in the vaulted dome of the enchanted castle. Like a bleeding lance piercing the noblest part of the skull – opening the cup – to receive: The ganganda greida – ‘the Circulating Cordial, or, Universal Food for Wanderers’ – the pure mineral extract which is formulated from the essence of Nature – uniting in the purest part of the human brain with our spiritualized sense impressions, to nourish true thinking’. (28) This ‘Food for the Quest’ is the cosmic wisdom that rejuvenates the etheric world and brings life to dead thinking.

Lisa: The Novalis Branch, our Austin HUB of the Central Region held the 2nd exercise – Control of Willing – Doing – Taking Initiative – Mastery of our will impulses which gives us control of the activity of our time-body. This exercise frees us from the ‘Tyranny of Time’ so we can become creators of time. We find Kairos – the immeasurable, qualitative, right time, of our own destiny. The capacity for willing takes root in a new foundation, and is no longer ruled by outside influences. I have time because I will it. (34) When we begin to experience our own ether body – then we can ask: How can I recieve this spiritual food? – Through my willing I can find the wandering cordial of the Holy Grail seen in the sickle Moon with the golden patina. In this waxing crescent holding the disc of the Spiritual Sun, the name Parzival is inscribed in the starry script, leading the striving human soul to the castle of the Holy Grail. 1. Yes, indeed. Thank you for the condolence. Bronx was fourteen, and his sister, Brooklyn, was twelve when she crossed the threshold just two years ago. Now, my only remaining pets are three cats – mother and two daughters.

Hazel, if your show indicates something about Ganganda Greida, it will be an important element for consideration. Steiner spoke about how he finally came to see the name ‘Parsifal’ etched in the silver gleaming sickle:

“Where, then, is the Grail, which today must be found in such a way that the name of Parsifal stands upon it? Where can it be found? Now in the course of my researches it had been shown to me that the name — that is the first thing — must be sought for in the stellar script. And then, on a day which I must regard as specially significant for me, I was shown where the gold-gleaming vessel in its reality is to be found, so that through it — through its symbolical expression in the stellar script — we are led to the secret of the Grail. And then I saw in the stellar script something that anyone can see — only he will not immediately discern the secret. For one day, while I was following with inner sight the gold-gleaming sickle of the moon, as it appeared in the heavens, with the dark moon like a great disc dimly visible within it … so that with physical sight one saw the gold-gleaming moon — ganganda greida, the journeying viaticum — and within it the large Host, the dark disc. This is not to be seen if one merely glances superficially at the moon, but it is evident if one looks closely — and there, in wonderful letters of the occult script, was the name Parsifal!” GA 149, lecture 5

It is possible today to produce a movie that shows the gold-gleaming sickle in its 30/31 phases from waxing to waning phases, and prove the Ganganda Greida. I have it here right now as an animated gif. I will try to send it to you. It displays characteristics of the GG that were not known before.

          1. Yes, how can we help create a living imagination of this that we can manifest inwardly as well as show as a sign in the world…
I will start with the words spoken in the pageant…

            1. This is a depiction of Ganganda Greida for the entire year of 2019, from January to December. If you keep your eye on the gold-gleaming sickle, it expands to full proportion. The name “Parsifal” is written here in the golden vessel, which is the Grail. The characteristic “wobble” symbolizes the quest of Parsifal to finally ask more questions in his search for the Grail. He almost got locked within the Grail Castle all alone, with no one to talk to. His narrow escape, after having asked no questions, caused a more direct and dynamic approach. The woman with the dead husband in her lap reproaches him for not asking, when he should have. She is the catalyst.
