Yes, dear friends, it’s gone viral & the next wave is coming…And this time covering your human countenance with a mask won’t help. Some of the first symptoms appear as a profound antipathy toward the mass-media. The tried & true tests like statistical graphs & manufactured death tolls; 5G, ‘tracing’ & mass vaccinations, stock market crashes…etc. now seem to be an illusion, compared with the light you generate.

This new global pandemic brings a sudden flash of clear thinking & compassionate action. It starts off in an innocuous way with the select consumption of bio-dynamic food, & herbal tonics, & then moves into a sharp desire to dance in the sunlight & speak with the stars. Eventually, symptoms can be seen to manifest as an increase in the level of connective consciousness, a strengthening of empathy in the soul forces, accompanied by a complete liberation from fear. Finally, the dis-ease ends in an understanding of karma, an amping up of gratitude, & the sincere expression of unconditional love.

The powers that be – the ‘dark elite’ are fuming – clambering for more zoom meetings with Fauci & Gates, in order to issue a new state of emergency to ramp up the fear motive. Even the text alert sent out by WHO to more than 7 billion citizens of the earth telling us to “‘Shelter in place.’ – Remain in your matrix. – Stay safe in front of your screens.” is just swiped to the left.

Newly christened ‘Freedom Specialists’ focusing on ‘Spiritual Science’ are naming this pandemic the ‘Viral Truth’ – & please know that it is highly contagious. It is recommended that we reach out & connect across the globe with other people who think for themselves & act conscientiously. This ‘Viral Truth’ is suspected of being spread thru good will. The latest in-depth research on the exact means of transmission reveals that it can occur instantly, with an incubation period as fast as the speed of thought. But in order to ‘heighten the curve’ we must work patiently, to foster in a consistent, daily fashion, the evolution of the ‘Viral Truth’, thru our every thought, word & deed.

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY – Past/Present/Future:

250 AD – Feast day of St. Florian the patron of Upper Austria, chimney sweeps; soapmakers, & firefighters. The “Florian Principle” (known in German language areas as “Sankt-Florians-Prinzip”) is named after a somewhat ironic prayer to Saint Florian: “O heiliger Sankt Florian, verschon’ mein Haus, zünd’ and’re an”, equivalent to “O Holy St. Florian, please spare my house, set fire to another one”. This saying is used in German much like the English “not in my back yard. The name Florian is considered synonymous with fireman in the German speaking world. In some cases call for a fireman will actually be spoken as calls for Florian.

1493 – The Division of the world: The Spanish-born Pope Alexander VI decreed in a Papal Bull that all lands west & south of a pole-to-pole line one hundred leagues west & south should belong to Spain. Portugal objected because its status & rights had been omitted & overlooked. King John II of Portugal began negotiations directly with King Ferdinand & Queen Isabella of Spain to push the line west & allow him to lay claim to lands discovered east of it. The result was the Treaty of Tordesillas.

1875 – Birthday of Hermann Beckh a pioneering German Tibetologist & prominent promoter of anthroposophy.

Due to his unusual memory skills, & his many interests & talents, his peers encouraged him towards law. It became clear to him that he was not made out to be a judge when he had to impose a fine on a poor married couple for stealing wood. He paid the couple’s fine out of his own pocket & left his position.

He later took up the study of oriental languages, Indology, & Tibetology. In 1907, he received his doctorate with a thesis on Kalidasa’s poem Meghaduta.

In 1911, he met Rudolf Steiner & Friedrich Rittelmeyer, which led to his intensive study of Steiner’s work. On Christmas Day, 1912, he became a member of the Anthroposophical Society.

In 1916, Beckh was drafted into military service, shortly after he published two volumes about the Buddha & his teachings. Stationed in the Balkans, he was called to work in the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. Due to his task, he learned the Scandinavian languages in addition to: English, French, Italian, Classical Greek & Latin, Hebrew, Egyptian, Sanskrit, Tibetan & Old Persian.

From 1920 onwards, he worked as a lecturer of anthroposophy. In March 1922, he joined the Circle of Priests of The Christian Community & worked until his death as a priest, seminary teacher, lecturer, independent researcher & writer. In 1928, “Mark’s Gospel: The Cosmic Rhythm” was published, in which he related the narration of the gospel of Mark to the path of the sun through the twelve zodiac signs. In Beckh’s exposition, Mark’s gospel could be understood more in connection with the “earthly” signs seen in the planets, & John’s gospel more in connection with the “stellar” zodiac of the fixed stars. At the time of The Mystery of Golgotha the planets & the constellations were together, not separate as they are now, due to the progression of the equinoxes. In the Introduction to the sequel, “The Cosmic Rhythm, the Secrets of the Stars & Earth in the Gospel of John” (1930), Beck favorably mentioned Wilhelm Kaiser’s “Die geometrischen Vorstellungen in der Astronomie” (1928), & referred to The Novices of Sais, of Novalis. Beckh died in Stuttgart, in 1937.

Dear Friends – In the “Four Seasons and the Archangels,” Dr. Steiner describes the out breath of the Earth in Spring – how the activity of the Ahrimanic beings, whose desire to enslave lives in the limestone, & is strongest, especially in March. Most of the time, the Ahrimanic beings gain very little from the earth, instead they must rely on the human being for their astral sustenance. Yet, in the Springtime, these beings, due to the attraction of the vitality of the limestone, seek to draw down an “astral rain from the cosmos, blowing around the world an astral wind, with the hope of ensouling the earth’s limestone, into a world of pain.”

The Luciferic beings also strive in the Spring thru the carbonic acid, carrying phosphoric, sulfuric, volatile substances, rising up higher out of the earth thru the breathing of the plants. They desire to kick the non-breathing etheric substance of human beings. Together, this would create the possibility of a rising etheric mist that would suffocate human breathing, but would grant Luciferic beings the etheric bodies they do not have. The volatilizing sulfur process, bound to the oxygenation of cells in the body, would be lifted away in a suffocating outbreath of the carbon dioxide, vegetative process. “That is what the Luciferic spirits strive and hope for, when the end of March comes on. They hope to change the whole Earth into a delicate shell of this kind, wherein they, densified through the etheric nature of man, could carry on their own existence.”

Of the Ahrimanic beings, Steiner says that if they could realize their hopes, “the whole of humanity would gradually be dissolved into the Earth:” into a matrix of Ahrimanic singularity. “The transition to this enslavement with the Earth would consist in this: man in his whole organism would become more and more like the limestone. He would blend the limestone with his organism and become more and more calcified. In this way he would transmute his bodily form into one that looked quite different – a sclerotic form with something like bat’s wings. This form would then be able to merge gradually into the earthly element, so that the whole Earth, according to the Ahrimanic idea, would become a dead Earth being.”

We are living in an age where the Ahrimanic threat stands before us, striving to make our soul capacities of thinking, feeling & willing depend entirely on the genetically modified food we digest (rather than on cosmic nutrition). “For Ahriman hardens man, while Lucifer wishes to dissolve and evaporate him through his breathing. In all this, the forces that make for illness reside.”

1519 – Death Day of Leonardo da Vinci, Italian painter, sculptor, & architect.

“…We know how Leonardo worked at the “Last Supper”. He often went and sat on the scaffolding and brooded for hours in front of the wall, then he would take a brush and make a few strokes and go away again. Sometimes he only went and stared at the picture and went away again. When he was painting the Christ Figure, his hand trembled. Indeed, if we put together all that we can find concerning this subject we must say that neither outwardly nor inwardly was Leonardo happy when painting this world-renowned picture. Now there were people at that time in Milan who were displeased with the slow progress of the picture, for instance a Prior of the monastery, who could not see why an artist could not paint such a picture quickly, and complained to the Duke. He too thought the affair had lasted too long. Leonardo answered: “The picture is to represent Jesus Christ and Judas, the two greatest contrasts; one cannot paint them in one year; there are no models for them in the world, neither for Judas nor for Christ”. After he had been working at the picture for years, he said he did not know whether he could finish it after all! Then he said that if finally he found no model for Judas he could always use the Prior himself! It was thus extraordinarily difficult to bring the picture to a conclusion but within himself Leonardo did not feel happy. For this picture showed the contrast between what lived in his soul and what he was able to represent on the canvas. 1729 – Birthday of Catherine the Great of Russia, the longest-ruling female leader of Russia. The Catherinian Era, is often considered the Golden Age of the Russian Empire & the Russian nobility. She enthusiastically supported the ideals of The Enlightenment, thus earning the status of an enlightened despot. As a patron of the arts she presided over the age of the Russian Enlightenment, a period when the Smolny Institute, the first state-financed higher education institution for women in Europe, was established.

1772 – Birthday of Novalis, the pseudonym & pen name of Georg Philipp Friedrich Freiherr von Hardenberg, poet, author, mystic, & philosopher of Early German Romanticism. His study of mineralogy & management of salt mines in Saxony, was often ignored by his contemporary readers Novalis concerned himself with the scientific doctrine of Johann Gottlieb Fichte, which greatly influenced his world view, transforming Fichte’s Nicht-Ich (German “not I”) to a Du (“you”), an equal subject to the Ich (“I”). This was the starting point for Novalis’ Liebesreligion (“religion of love”) dedicated to his beloved Sophie who died of tuberculosis.

“…When we consider the life of Novalis, what an echo we find there of the Raphael life for which Hermann Grimm had so fine an understanding! His beloved dies in her youth. He is himself still young. What is he going to do with his life now that she has died? He tells us himself. He says that his life on Earth will be henceforth to “die after her”, to follow her on the way of death. He wants to pass over already now into the super-sensible, to lead again the Raphael life, not touching the Earth, but living out in poetry his magic idealism. When we read the “Fragments” of Novalis, and give ourselves up to the life that flows so abundantly in them, we can discover the secret of the deep impression they make on us. Whatever we have before us in immediate sense-reality, whatever the eye can see and recognise as beautiful — all this, through the magic idealism that lives in the soul of Novalis, appears in his poetry with a well-nigh heavenly splendour. The meanest and simplest material thing — with the magic idealism of his poetry he can make it live again in all its spiritual light and glory.

Here are my thoughts on this May Day 2020, also called International Workers’ Day, commemorating the historic struggles & gains by the labor movement.

While we are in lockdown, a war rages in the social spheres. The ‘virus’ is merely the outer manifestation of an inner spiritual event. There is a slight of hand taking place – a grab for who will control the 6^thCultural Epoch in particular, & the course of human evolution as a whole.

Our present time of the Consciousness Soul age was meant to have been guided by the Germanic people of Middle Europe; who would have in turn handed over the task to the Russian folk down the line, & only then would it be time for the American epoch.

World wars I & II, instigated by the dark western brotherhoods, wrested that away, & allowed the English speaking people to seize world domination – with control of the economic markets around the world.

The dark eastern brotherhoods have been plotting to destroy the power of the west, which is coming to one of its many apexes right now.

There are various reasons for this fall, including the fact that Russia, China & the Saudis are conspiring to bring the US to its knees thru gold buying & lowering the price of oil at this time to devalue the dollar.

Before this ‘pandemic’, the markets were bracing themselves for a BIG collapse. Everyone knew it was coming. Some made billions from it.

Of course there are many undercurrents behind the virus issue, today I am highlighting the economic realm. It has distracted us, so that economies all over the world can divert attention from this collapse, & get away with printing TRILLIONS of dollars to bail out big corporations. The economic ideal of Fellowship has once again been co-opted by greed.

This undercurrent is sensed by people, but instead of directing their discomfort to the ‘hidden in plain sight’ sources, they are driven by fear to shame & argue with each other, over masks, social distancing, vaccines…etc…But friends, we are being kept inside because the economy is failing. And a mandatory vaccine is meant to kill off the “I”-forces in our blood, to keep us from questioning what has become of our human rights.

Freedom is only won thru consciousness. The Sword of Michael brings discernment. It is thru a shift to clear heart-thinking that we shall overcome the fetters that bind us.

Beltane: To Nourish Body, Heart, Spirit – Deb Bowen

some Ancient Origins of Beltane

May 1st, called Beltane by the ancients, is the cross-quarter on the wheel of the year, between the Spring Equinox & the Summer Solstice, which marks a joyful festival of growth & fecundity, heralding the promise of Summer. This is a time when nature blossoms & felicity & fertility return to the land.

Beltane is the festival of the ‘Good Fire’ or ‘Bel-fire’, named after the solar deity Bel. “Bright and Brilliant Regenerator”, “Protective Shepard”, “The Fiercely Shining One”, & “The Hospitable Boar Chieftain”. All hearth fires were extinguished on Beltane Eve & then kindled again from the sacred “need fires” lit on Beltane. People would leap through the smoke & flames of Beltane fires & cattle were driven through them for purification, fertility, prosperity & protection. Bel was a Pan-Celtic & Gaulish god of light who was revered in such widespread locals as Aquitaine, Austria, Britain, northern Italy. Bel was also known as Bile in Ireland, meaning ‘tree of Life’. Besides being a solar god, Belenus was also known to be a rainbow rayed healer & there are healing springs that were associated with him.

Rudolf Steiner, when lecturing about the Mystery Schools, speaks of this time as being ruled by the Archangel Raphael.

In terms of the Archetypal cycle, Beltane marks the union of female & male polarities, bringing new life to the earth. It is a traditional time for Handfastings (marriages), & was a time for couples to make love outside to bless the crops & the earth.

Maypoles were often danced around at Beltane to bring fertility & good fortune. The later addition of ribbons which were wrapped around the pole by the dancers brought a further sense of the integration of male & female energies, mirroring the union between the God & the Goddess.

Beltane is a time to devote energy to growth & integration. It is a time of celebration, exuberance & hope, when we can enjoy & appreciate the gifts of nature.

It is believed that Beltane is a Celtic reinvention of an even older Sabine festival, Floralia, which celebrated the goddess Flora & the flowering of spring into summer, especially associated with vines, olives, fruit trees & honey-bearing plants.

Cernnunos, the earthly god-force present at Beltane, is a Triple God who is Green Man, Great Father, & Nature Deity. “Antlered Horned Forest Lord”, “Leaf Faced Greenery Father”, & “Primal Landscape Goddess Consort”, he was known by many names throughout the ages on the European continent & the British Isles.

The keeper of the archetypal bag of “fertility coins”, he carried a mighty club that symbolized his authority as master of the hunt, & protector of nature –

A creative mentor of animals, nature spirits, & woodlands, Cernnunos is also a magickal craftsman & Mysteries initiator, considered an Otherworld threshold guardian.

Originally a movable feast controlled by the condition of the crops & flowers, It is believed to have been instituted in 238 BCE under the command of an oracle in the Sibylline Books, with the purpose of gaining from the goddess the protection of the blossoms.

Gift-giving for the season included vegetables as tokens of sex & fertility. (Use your imagination) In fact, the origins of the Floralia are associated in Greece with Aphrodite in her aspect as the goddess of Love & flowering plants (Antheia) before the festival found its way to Italy.

Choosing a May Queen & King is part of celebrating May Day. A young girl dressed in white represented the Goddess in her maiden aspect. The merry month of May & the word maiden both come from the same source, a word which simply means young.

In Piedmont Italy, the Bride of May carries the maggio, a green branch garlanded with ribbons, fresh fruits & lemons.

In some English Villages, the maiden is called Maid (or May) Marian & this is considered Robin Hood’s holiday.

Anyone who went out into the woods & found a branch of flowering hawthorn would bring it triumphantly into the village (thereby bringing in the May) & announcing the start of planting season. However there were warnings about bringing hawthorn into the house, since it would invite the fairies in.

Sometimes flowers were given as messages: plum for the glum, elder for the surly, thorns for the prickly, pear for the popular.

In Eastern Europe, a young man would go into the woods on May Eve, dig up a young flowering tree, decorate it with ribbons & colored eggshells, & plant it outside the bedroom window of his sweetheart.

In Scandinavia & Germany, May trees are important for both people & animals, & are set up beside the door, sometimes one for each animal in a stable.

In Italy, May Day was celebrated by tying lemons & ribbons around flowering branches. Maypoles are called alberi della cucagna (trees from the land of milk & honey). These Maypoles would have prosciutto, mortadella cheeses & money dangling from the top. The men try to get these prizes by climbing the pole which is greased with lard. Eventually the grease wears off & someone gets the prize. A similar custom is found in Wales.

In English villages, the Maypole is often decorated with a broom or bush & brought in from the woods with girls riding astride it.

The Maypole dance is a circle dance of alternating male & female dancers, weaving in & out in a maze movement, plaiting ribbons as they go. Maypole dances fulfilled social & sacred functions. They helped people flirt & mingle socially. They also raised energy in a patterned & focused way.

In ancient Ireland there was a Sacred Tree named Bile, which was the center of the clan, or Tuatha. As the Irish Tree of Life, the Bile Pole, represents the connection between the people & the three worlds of Bith: The Skyworld (heavens), The Middleworld (our world), & The Otherworld.

Today in some towns & villages a mummer called Jack in the Green ie. the Green man, wears a costume made of green leaves as he dances around the May pole. Mumming is a dramatic performance of exaggerated characters & at Beltane the characters include Jack in the Green & the Fool.

The Fool, & the Fool’s journey symbolism can be understood in relation to Beltane as it is the beginning of beginnings, the emergence from the void of nothingness (winter), as one can also see the role of the green man as the re-greening of the world.

In England, May Day was also an occasion for Morris dancing & mummer’s plays. Scholars have speculated that the exaggerated leaps of the Morris dancers serve as charms to show the crops how high to grow (similar dances are reported from early Roman times) & the clashing of their sticks may represent a ritual battle between summer & winter.

The mummer’s plays feature odd character including Green (or St) George, a hobbyhorse, cockhourse (or dragon), a male/female, a teaser, a jester & chimney sweeps with their brushes. Sometimes the hobbyhorse has coal under his skirts & he tries to trap young women under them. Only those who are marked with coal can dance around the maypole. Sometimes when the play portrays a battle between summer & winter, Summer squirts Winter with water & seizes the garland from winter & presents it to the May Queen.

Beltane, is still a precarious time, the crops are still very young & tender, susceptible to frost & blight. As was the way of ancient thought, the Wheel would not turn without human intervention. People did everything in their power to encourage the growth of the Sun & His light, for the Earth will not produce without the warm love of the strong Sun, & the nourishing, healing powers of rain.

Water has special properties on May Day. A Mother Goose rhyme tells us:
The fair maid who, the first of May
Goes to the fields at break of day
& washes in dew from the hawthorn tree
Will ever after handsome be.

Other sources suggest using the dew found under oaks or on ivy leaves. Make a special wish as you wash your face in it or as you drink from a well before sunrise. The first Sunday & first Monday in May are traditional days for dressing (decorating & honoring) wells.

This is an important association of Beltane, for water is refreshing & rejuvenating, it is also imperative to life. It is said that if you bathe in the dew gathered before dawn on Beltane morn, your beauty will flourish throughout the year. Those who are sprinkled with May dew are insured of health & happiness.

May wine is made by flavoring wine with herbs, berries, fruits or flowers. The traditional May wine is white wine flavored with sweet woodruff (soak the sprigs of woodruff in the wine for only 15 minutes or so to flavor the wine).

At Beltane the Pleiades star cluster rises just before sunrise on the morning horizon, (whereas winter begins when the Pleiades rises at sunset) The Pleiades is a cluster of seven closely placed stars, the seven sisters, in the constellation of Taurus, near his shoulder. When looking for the Pleiades with the naked eye, remember it looks like a tiny dipper-shaped pattern of six moderately bright stars (the seventh can be seen on very dark nights) in the constellation of Taurus. It stands very low in the east-northeast sky for just a few minutes before sunrise.

Eve of May

The planetary rhythms over the past 4 months have been worth noting, because they seem to match what Steiner says about the appearance of sun-spots coming about only after the fall of the adversarial beings. Before that, the Sun was clear. These dark spots are strong erratic magnetic fields coming up from within the Sun. Like a solar eclipse they reduce the amount of energy & light distributed to Earth which affects the electromagnetism of the earth. Spiritual Science tells us they are a sign of moral degeneration.

In ‘Manifestations of Karma‘ Steiner says when there is a high volume of sun spot activity especially thru the outer planets during the late winter, there will be a strong push put on the rhythmical activity between chest & head, in the act of breathing & in blood circulation– especially in people who are predisposed with an irregularity in this rhythm.

Looking back over the last 4 months Mars, Jupiter & Saturn have seen a very high volume of sunspot activity, & next week they all go into retrograde.

Just like when there is an eclipse -when we can see a corona-this is a call to action; pointing up our responsibility to bring balance in ourselves & in the world. Perhaps this world illness is part of a process, not so much a flattening of the curve, but a learning curve, a reset for humankind. Our culture needs a moral renewal, in order to overcome the virus of materialistic ideology which reduces human beings to a programmed computer-animal, & nature, to a poisoned mechanized product.

But dear friends, don’t let this stop us from hearing the trumpet call awakening us to the fact that we are also living in the time of a momentous event: Since the 20^th Century Christ has made a re-appearance in the etheric aura of the Earth.

And, once we get past these next few months, 2020 is a remarkable year from a cosmic standpoint. The outer planets of Jupiter & Saturn will remain close throughout the year, culminating in their alignment in a ‘Great Conjunction’ near the time of the Winter Solstice.

Astrosopher Willi Sucher said that in this potent conjunction, ‘we can perceive momentous decisions being made’. Saturn representing Cosmic Memory – the World of the Father Ground – meets the divine creative thoughts of Jupiter, the beneficent King. This conversation between Jupiter & Saturn could be seen as a preparation for a new creation. Such a ‘decisive communion’ preceded the birth of Jesus, & coincided with Paul’s initiation by The Risen Christ on the road to Damascus.

We are being asked to join the cosmic conversation: Consider events in your own life, & in the world, during the times of most recent great conjunctions of 1981 & 2000.

AND to further our “Speaking with the Stars’, know that this is all happening during the time of a ‘solar minimum’ – a period of low magnetic activity on the Sun – which is connected with the 11-year alignment cycle of Jupiter, Earth & Venus (occult Mercury, The healing power of Love).

Interesting to note, that solar minima also occurred in 1879 – the beginning of Michael’s Reign; 1901-when Rudolf Steiner began his public Theosophical work; late 1912 – at the founding of the Anthroposophical Society; & 1923 – around the time of the Christmas meeting, when the re-founding took place; & in 1933 -Steiner’s date for the beginning of Christ’s reappearance in the etheric.

Let us rise in our thinking to consider that these are times when spiritual forces from the Sun are able to stream down to the earth in a particularly effective way. What would it be like to align ourselves with this cosmic opportunity & make a conscious decision to be light-workers, building up our etheric body, our life body; visualizing the earth surrounded, not by machines, but by a body of light – The light Divine – the living being of the Christ Sun.

Yes, friends, we need Michaelic courage to stay awake to the implications of current events. Being open-minded, staying positive, asking questions without judgement. Opening to this opportunity; working consciously with our beloved dead & with the highest spiritual beings for the cause of human evolution; which BTW certainly calls for us to push the reset button on the economic system right now. It’s a huge opportunity to come into greater integrity with what Steiner calls the 3-fold Social Organism.

Steiner tells us: “an economic life like that of the Anglo-American, would end in world-dominion — if the effort is not made to bring about its permeation by the independent spiritual life and the independent political life; it will flow into the third abyss of human life….in the physical realm, illness and death; in the cultural realm, the illness and death of culture. The Anglo-American world may gain world dominion; but without the Threefold Social Order it will, through this dominion, pour out cultural death and cultural illness over the whole earth; for this is a result of the Asuras…” Rudolf Steiner, Dornach, 15 December 1919.

The question is: Can this ‘pandemic’ actually help us see how essential the 3-fold organism really is?

This is the Eve of Beltane or May Day. Beltane, the old Celtic name for May Day, means bright fire or fire of Bel, the name of the Solar force, whose feast marks the beginning of the 2nd half of the year.

Wood from 9 sacred trees is gathered, & the great Bel-fire is built & ritualistically ignited by the High priestess or Arch-Druid. People would jump these ‘need-fires’ for fertility, healing & protection.

Torches lit from it were carried home to re-light the hearth fires. The folk would walk their animals in-between them to ensure a productive season – this is the mating season after all for man & beast.

There were other May Day customs, like walking the circuit of one’s property, repairing fences & boundary markers, processions of all kinds, archery tournaments, Morris dances, sword play, & of course making merry with music & drinking.

May morning is a time when the veil between the worlds can easily be pushed aside; but instead of the spirits coming into our realm from the other side, which is the case with Halloween, the polar opposite of Mayday on the wheel of the year -the fairies can enchant us over into their mystical realms.

This is a magical time, perfect for gathering ‘wild’ water, especially the May morning dew, or water from hidden wells & springs. These wild waters were collected & used to bath in for beauty, or to drink for health.

May Day is considered the start of summer – the time of milk & honey. This sensuous fertile energy is totally universal, & can be applied on many different levels. When we acknowledge these creative forces in the dance of our lives, it takes us to our own personal, modern-day version of dancing around the maypole, where we weave & combine the opposing energies within ourselves, blending them into one balanced source.

So yes, whether you know it or not, there will be at least one song that plays in your sub-conscious head on this eve of the 1st day of May, when you become perhaps, the Queen of the May, or Jack-in the Green. Our body like the body of the earth instinctively knows its Beltane, the time of vitality & passion & new growth. And the wisdom of our spirit seeks the natural union of polarities that occur at this time, giving us the opportunity for integration, in the alchemical dance of our souls…

Because under all the sexual innuendo & frivolity, it’s really all about the inner mystic marriage, the union of fire & water -opposites complimenting each other, to become one, bringing all the elements into balance.

You’ll just have to go dancing naked in the forest preserve on your own time…

For now, let’s work to unify the polarities of our being, by sparking the new fire of creative fertility & passion, & marrying it with the beautiful, healing waters of compassion & pure love. So we can truly celebrate the marriage feast of our lives, with a grounded, mindful joy.

So if it is your will – light your Bel-fire, marry it to the water, by floating it in the chalice of your choice. Take the time you need there…To do or not, what you will…Whisper your marriage vows into the water…or dance the 1st dance…or smash the glass…whatever your ceremony calls for…short simple or silent…it doesn’t matter…a 3 day bacchanal, with dancing puppets…it’s all good…cause it’s all about what’s inside…

Blessings on the 50th Anniversary of EARTHDAY dear friends – In my mediation this morning this Steiner quote from ‘Outline of Esoteric Science‘ came to mind: ” The ‘cosmos of wisdom’ is developing into a ‘cosmos of love.’ The exalted Sun Being we were able to characterize in describing Christ’s evolution manifests as the all-encompassing example of love, planting the seed of love in the inner-most core of the human being. From there, it is meant to flow out into all of evolution.

Just as wisdom, which formed earlier, discloses itself in the forces of nature, love itself will appear as a new natural force in all phenomena in the future. This is the mystery of all future evolution; that our knowledge & everything we do out of a true understanding of evolution sow seeds that must ripen into love. The greater the power of the love that comes into being, the more we will be able to accomplish creatively on behalf of the future.“

John Muir is remembered on Earthday (his birthday was April 21^st1838 ) also known as “John of the Mountains”, an American naturalist, author, environmental philosopher, glaciologist & early advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the United States. His letters, essays, & books describing his adventures in nature, especially in the Sierra Nevada, have been read by millions. His activism has helped to preserve the Yosemite Valley, Sequoia National Park & many other wilderness areas.

The Sierra Club, which he founded, is a prominent American conservation organization. The 211-mile John Muir hiking trail in the Sierra Nevada, was named in his honor, along with Muir Woods National Monument, Muir Beach, John Muir College, Mount Muir, Camp Muir & Muir Glacier.

Muir was noted for being an ecological thinker, political spokesman, & religious prophet, whose writings became a personal guide into nature for countless individuals, making his name “almost ubiquitous” in the modern environmental consciousness.

During his lifetime John Muir published over 300 articles & 12 books. Muir has been called the “patron saint of the American wilderness” & its “archetypal free spirit.” As a dreamer & activist, his eloquent words changed the way Americans saw their mountains, forests, seashores, & deserts.

Muir exalted wild nature over human culture and civilization, believing that all life was sacred. He moved beyond the Transcendentalism of Emerson to a “biocentric perspective on the world”. He did so by describing the natural world as “a conductor of divinity,” & his writings often made nature synonymous with God.
