We understand only the very smallest part of human history and of our own life if we consider it in its external aspect, I mean in that aspect which we see from the limited view-point of our earthly life between birth and death. It is impossible to comprehend the inner motives of history and life unless we turn our gaze to that spiritual background which underlies the outer, physical happenings”. ~Rudolf Steiner, Karmic Relationships, Volume IV: Lecture III

  1. Hi Hazel,

I would certainly agree that the process was not really “halted”, but suppressed by the very forces that came together to burn down the Goetheanum. These forces did not disband then, but continued in order to effectuate the takeover that occurred at the CC of 1923. RS was really quite forthright about a quick reincarnation of himself and those other followers who live today to continue on with a cause which has very little to do with the present collision-course to extinction. Thus, for someone today to find their way into anthroposophy makes little to no sense because of the training we receive from early childhood, which sees materialism as the top-end of the evolutionary process. Thus, for Steiner to be alive in an earthly incarnation today seems very possible. As well, Carl Unger, who was murdered in early 1929.

Thus, we should consider stellar figures like Gennady Bondarev, c. 1936, Sergei Prokofieff, c. 1954, Peter Selg, c. 1963, and Judith von Halle, c. 1972. These are the most well-known members of the fraternity to continue the work and legacy of Rudolf Steiner into the post-modern age of the 21st century. I personally know a number of people born around the time of my birth, c. 1950, who are drawn to spiritual science by certain seemingly mysterious means. In fact, someone born in 1940, showed indications that he was the reincarnated Plato, by way of Karl Julius Schroer. This would indicate that Steiner had a deep influence on people who might have died in 1900, and yet, had been brought into his scope of influence by their own means of recognition, i.e., Schroer, who saw RS as the one meant to interpret Goethe’s scientific writings in the early 1880’s.

So, you see, in the same way that Christian Rosenkreutz is known for marking those people that he wants to save and initiate to the cause, rather than letting them simply fall to their death, we have this same initiative in Rudolf Steiner, who had the power to conduct an initiation of his faithful followers and keen disciples. I think this will stand the test of further consideration.

    1. The burning of the Goetheanum, was a recapitulation of the burning of the Temple of Ephesus. Not just a punishment of the sleepy Anthros. which of course was a part, but also a required sacrifice to the gods. Yes the adversarial powers ie. the Nazi’s were working to bring it about. And this was reversed by the foundation Stone Meditation which if worked with can help build that temple of the heart. The Christmas Conference was a new turning point of time, a Whitsun event, that we have to take up.

  2. I really love the “on this day in history” add-ons to these posts.

About the Last Supper, it’s quite amazing to think the DaVinci’s work wasn’t fully appreciated until sometime after his death. And with that train of thought, how about other works of art throughout history? We can probably name several where the artists were far ahead of their time. Just to fathom, the kind of service and dedication to truth, regardless of what the ‘contemporaries’ of the time thought of it. Somebody at some point will understand it, even if it’s centuries later. I just find that remarkable, and truly remarkable ‘deeds’ for the sake of humanity.

    1. To think of all the lectures, many on the same day in history is facinating to me, a way to live into the eternal moment where past, prsent & future meet…

Speaking about the painter Raphael, Steiner once said that his worth and stature in the spiritual world was increased all the time human beings still remembered his works and were benefitting from them.

Today I brought in Vincent van Gogh & his Portrait of Dr. Gachet one of the most revered paintings by Vincent van Gogh. It depicts Dr. Paul Gachet who took care of Van Gogh during the final months of his life. In May 1990, the painting was sold at auction for $82.5 million ($154.8 million today) crazy…& to think dear Vincent died pennyless – but as you & the song says, he was working for the future…

      1. I am so glad that you brought in van Gogh in your assessment. He was born 20 years after the death of Kaspar, and would suffer the kind of normal afflictions known to human beings who are trying to find themselves in life, and especially those with artistic inclinations. His wound was self-inflicted, while Kaspar was drawn to an adjacent city to experience his own. Very mysterious, and why spiritual science exists to figure it out; or, at least try to figure it out. I thought maybe my previous comment was too obscure, but I think you have found its essence, Hazel. Thank you.

  3. Hi Hazel, I was looking at your notation concerning Saint Germain being born in 1696, which seems accurate.

“1696 – Birthday of Leopold Gyorgy Rakoczy, also known as Comte de St. Germain, incarnations of the individuality known as Christian Rosenkreutz.”

Steiner would first reveal this incarnation of CRC with the “Temple Legend” lectures of 1904/1905, GA 93. He died exactly 77 years before the birth of Rudolf Steiner, on February 27, 1784. Yes, RS was born exactly 77 years later on February 27, 1861. So, this course is very expository, and coming early in Steiner’s esoteric phase of development, c. 1900-1925.

Steiner would eventually reveal himself as the forerunner of the reappearance of Christ in the Etheric. This is even more well known.

    1. Well, this is always an interesting topic to come back to. 77 years after Steiner’s death brings us to 2002, if I’m not mistaken.

That individual – hypothetical or perhaps not? – would pass their 27th year by 2029. I would be really curious if someone out there is looking at Steiner’s photos with a strange sense of familiarity, but would not be surprised if they were already born with clairvoyance.

      1. Hi Kyle,

Here is the thing you will find interesting. It was in April 1922, when Rudolf Steiner first returned to England after an absence of nearly nine years, and accompanied by Walter Johannes Stein in a touring car on the London streets, that he indicated to Stein what the bookshops held as their knowledge, and then said the following to Stein, which was written down in Stein’s journal: “In 80 years time, I will be reincarnated in America “.

So, this doesn’t necessarily mean he was born in 2002, and maybe more likely that he had reincarnated earlier in order to experience certain events leading to the planetary alignments of 2000 and 2002. Please remember that Rudolf Steiner had told his faithful following in 1924, that he had initiated them and him in the near-term events about to take place.

Kyle, you come from Chicago. Hazel lives now in Chicago, and she has a huge music career. We have to live in each other.

        1. I would imagine it to be a shocking experience for the Anthroposophists coming back after such a short time in the Spiritual world to live in this materialistic society…We need to create centers of love & light where they can find themselves & their mission

          1. Hazel, this is an extremely important comment on the quick return of the original anthroposophists from the era of Rudolf Steiner. Even he said he would return by the end of the 20th century, and we can even try to figure that out. One of those that has quickly returned, and by her own admission, is Judith von Halle. She is said to have revealed to her intimate audience that she is the reincarnation of Edith Maryon, who aided Rudolf Steiner in the sculpture work of the first Goetheanum. Yet, she refrains from making this fact more public, likely because of the rebuke which connects with such assertions. So, she takes the more easy path, wherein hints follow her path to brilliance. Yet, if we consider figures like Bondarev, Wimbauer, Prokofieff, and Selg, we have to imagine that a future work is meant to be taking place today. The Science of the Spirit would necessitate a new cultural imperative in which education becomes the paramount issue.

Today’s society lives in a vacuum of lies propounded by dogma and propaganda. No wonder we feel so alone in this mess. When John the Baptist was asked by the priests and levites, who came to Bethany to ask who he was, and what he was doing, he said:

“I am the voice of one calling in the solitude of the soul; make straight the way of the Lord, as the prophet Isaiah said”. Did they get it? I doubt it. Government is a machine with much conformity on the part of people who are now individuals who have the freedom to be according to their own resolve. This is what the Baptist was referring to. Yet, people choose to follow a kind of “party line” rather than be true humans in individuality. Anthroposophy remains many years off, although its tenets are so simple.

            1. I can not align with JvH, for i agree with Prokofieff & Selg, who BTW is actually doing a zoom about Edith Maryon on 26 June for us at Elderberries.
They are rightly seeing that there will be many false prophets. We look at the Jesuits & can see many good things in their active willing but also much that would enslave the human being.
And that is what JvH is doing with her focus on the physical suffering of Christ. Read SOP’s book on her & you will see the sublites of her personal cult which has divided the Anthroposophical society.

        2. Hi Steve, yes it’s definitely interesting. Just to fathom it, is a ‘aha’ and ‘wow’ moment, regarding piecing together streams/threads/incarnations. And even more so, how we as individuals are placed in the scheme of things, and not separate from it. Having ‘remembering’ moments more and more, is it safe to say you’re on that initiation ‘path’?

Hazel, that’s great you are involved with music. I learned so much being in Chicago. It was actually there that I took anthroposophy seriously (sparked from a conversation from another fellow musician), aside from being a Waldorf student in elementary school. I love these kinds of connections.

About your mention of Anthroposophists experiencing quite a shock coming back, I really do wonder about this. Was it meant to be like this, as in, a challenge to further strengthen their souls (our souls)? Without Steiner taking up the same role, so to speak, many are kind of left on their own it seems. I’m really curious if this was implied, because he did mention about many Anthroposophists karma (or those along the same stream) being quite difficult in the future.

          1. Steiner talks about how difficult it is for most inititates to come back into a time when the educational system & society as a whole is so materialistic.
In his audiobiography we see how he was spared that by not reading untill he was 7 or 9 years old…But even so he struggled.

Even his beloved teacher Carl Julis Schoer, who was Plato in a former life, couldn’t bring himself to deal with the world as it was,
& could not fullfill his misson of bringing Anthroposophy into the world, so Steiner had to take that on for him…

          2. Rudolf Steiner was the forerunner in announcing the Second Coming of Christ as an experience in the Etheric Body, and I believe that his primary motivation in preparing for the quick return was for this experience of Christ to be made manifest in anthroposophists as a kind of “first wave” of perceptive recognition. The catalyst was the Foundation Stone Meditation, which he conveyed every morning to the 800 faithful followers who stood on the site of the burnt remains of the Goetheanum.

Consider, for example, what brings us to spiritual science in this day and age of dissolving materialism. Anthroposophy, for most people, is exceedingly remote from their sensibilities and attending logic. It is very “user unfriendly” because of its demands for comprehension in an age where learning deficiencies are easily admitted by those with attention deficit, inability to concentrate, hyperactivity, and poor reading ability.

Also, Steiner called for 21 more years of active development in spiritual science in order for the possibility of anthroposophy to really become a worldwide movement. Thus, 42 total years of intense commitment, but his premature death in 1925, halted the process rather immediately. Ref. GA 258, lecture 8.

He would announce this quick return of his followers, and himself, in 1924, as his own etheric body was rapidly withdrawing, and he saw that he was not going to get much more done in that lifetime.

            1. It may seem like the process was halted, but this Great initiate has been working from the spiritual realms. And those that could not face their karma when they were alive with him then, can make that a priority now

I agree that the reappearance of Christ in the etheric is tantamount to our time.

Also I believe that the early anthroposophists came back so quick to take advantage of this Michael Age.
The other time spirits do not engage with humanity holding the Christ consciousness like Michael does

              1. Hi Hazel, that’s a great point regarding Steiner working from the Spiritual realm. I think I can confidently say that some anthroposophists who were born roughly a few decades after Steiner’s death have profoundly influenced me (the first ones being my Waldorf gradeschool teacher, and quite to my surprise my Kindergarten teacher who will be on the next Sophia circle – Linda Berg). I, myself, incarnated just under 60 years after Steiner’s death.

So, your observation only makes perfect sense, that this ‘stream’ is a steady continuum, and every generation after Steiner’s time has been building a foundation for the following generations.

One analogy comes to mind, and it’s regarding building a temple. We can see that such amazing architecture in past times took several generations to build… with the first generation knowing full well that they would not live to see its completion, yet passed on their knowledge so that the building can continue. Is it safe to say that we are building that ‘temple?’

              2. You are so right on, actually the title for the AGM this year is “Building a Temple of the Heart” (I’m on the planning committee) Interesting that you know Linda Berg! Where do you live?

          3. “Building a Temple of the Heart,” wonderful!

I’m living in northern Thailand now, but I’m originally from Minneapolis.
