For your contemplation & practice on Day #5: Memorize a version of The Lord’s Prayer that resonates with you.
Our Father who art in Heaven.
Heaven is unlimited; it is within ourselves as well as without.
Hallowed be Thy name.
Awaken in me the Spirit Self. Spiritualize my Astral body.
Let me become one with the Holy Spirit.
Thy Kingdom come.
Awaken in me the Life Spirit. Spiritualize my Etheric body.
Let me become one with The Christ.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Awaken in me the Spirit Man. Spiritualize all that is Physical in me.
Let me become one with the Father.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Let me not want for anything that is necessary for my body and soul.
Nourish me with The Christic Self who Art the bread and the water of Life.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us.
Forgive me all weaknesses and help me to conquer and purify all inclinations
that dwell in my Etheric body, whether inherited or my own.
Purify my imagination or thought life.
Lead us not into temptation.
Help me to cleanse my Astral body of all passions and desires.
Fill me with Your Love, in order that this eternal Love
May overflow from the cup of my Soul, to benefit the world.
Deliver us from the evil.
Help me to overcome my lower self
So that I may, through Your Goodness, Grace and Mercy,
Attain that which was given through Christ’s Deed
And belongs to those who strive to redeem evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom –
And the power and the glory –
From Eternity to Eternity.
Rudolf Steiner gave this version of the Lord’s Prayer to Helen Hecker, an American music student in Germany where she became a pupil of Rudolf Steiner, attending lectures beginning in 1905. On her return to the states in 1909, Helen continued her personal connection with Dr. Steiner thru correspondence.
Here is a version that Rudolf Steiner himself worked with – referred to as
The Esoteric Lord’s Prayer:
Father, you who were, are, and will be in the inmost being of all of us!
May your name be glorified in us all and praised.
May your kingdom grow more expansive in our deeds
and in the conduct of our lives.
May we enact your will in our life as you, Father,
have enshrined it in our inmost heart and soul.
In overflowing abundance you give us spiritual nourishment, the bread of life, through all the changing conditions of our lives.
Let our mercy toward others atone for the sins perpetrated upon our being.
You do not allow the tempter to work in us beyond the capacity of our strength –
for no temptation can prevail in Your being.
The tempter is only appearance and delusion,
from which You will safely deliver us, Father, through the light of your knowledge.
May your power and glory work in us through all cycles of time.

RUDOLF STEINER’S CALENDAR OF THE SOUL
translated with added titles by Roy Sadler
Joy Will Arise
From worldwide womb will rise
the joy of growth, enlivening the senses’ glory;
and may it find my strength of thought
defended by the strength of God,
the living bedrock of my being.
The Risen Self
Arisen from my own persona
my real self appears
as revelation of the spheres
in powers of time and space;
the world now everywhere to me portrays
as paradigm of the divine
the image in whose mirror I come true.

This blog is such a great resource. Thanks so much for the two versions of the Lord’s Prayer – these will be put to good use. Cheers.
I love the tried & true one from my childhood, but it really helps to expand it with these wise reflections. Glad you will use them too.
I always add this to the final verse of the Lords Prayer,
For Thine is the Kingdom – Spirit Self, and the Power – Life Spirit,
and the Glory – Spirit Man
Forever and Ever
