~Oh Mother see how I have ripened, becoming

Upright & tall as a weed tree on the parkway.

Seeds sown on the wind

Swell up in the shade of the city street

Conversing with the blacktop softening in the sun.

When the light comes after

The shadow playing in a passing cloud

Bent on the steam of my breathing

All is blue bliss

Even into deep caverns

Where secret waters run high

Pacing with the star-tides.

Quenching the lioness

I shine

Renewing Regulus in the heart of heaven

A circus ring riding

High on the rising wheat

With the Virgin pushing past

Hells plush taverns

Into Benediction,

A sweet prayer of Love in action

A chord ever chiming

In a soft whisper thru my August soul

Per corem Leonis in signo virginis in sororitatem steallarum te salvamus

Maybe because I watched ‘Mists of Avalon’ with my daughter last night, I awoke with that mysteries Latin phrase in my head. It makes me think of Steiner’s verse:

Stars once spoke to Man

It is World destiny that they are silent now.

To be aware of the silence

Can become pain for earthly Man.

But in the deepening silence

There grows and ripens

What Man speaks to the Stars

To be aware of the speaking

Can be strength for Spirit-Man” (Give to Marie Steiner by Rudolf Steiner on Christmas Day 1922)

This mantra speaks to the evolution of human consciousness: From the time when human beings were vessels thru which the gods – the spiritual beings of the stars, once spoke; into the Copernican revolution when modern science needed to prevail, teaching us to know the measure & number of the physical world; into our current time of the Consciousness Soul Age, when we can learn once again to Speak with the Stars.

When attempting to understand a shift in consciousness as vast as the one in which every one of us is involved at this very second, you have to think big. Really big. You have to stretch your mind & imagination. The fact is, when it’s time for a change, the conveyor belt moves right along, & like it or not, you must move along with it, or fall right off into oblivion.

If you can climb an imaginary tree to the highest limb, you can see over the treetops & look far ahead, to the farthest horizon, where the future curves out of sight. Then turn around & look in the opposite direction far into the past. Then maybe we can make a clearer assumption about where we are right now.

About twenty-six thousand years ago, according to archaeological evidence, warrior goddesses ruled the world. They hunted, they fished & were generally in charge of things. Women dominated the known world. The fixed star Regulus, the heart of Leo the Lion, transited the sign of Virgo, around that time.

And as of a year ago today, Regulus, entered Virgo. Here we are again! On the brink of enormous social transformation. Are women coming back into power? Doesn’t look that way when you see how hard the good ol’ boys are trying to hang on to their war toys. And yet, we stand at this very moment on the threshold of a new age. The Age of The Woman.

Looking back about two thousand years ago, we see that Julius Caesar was being born -As were the grandparents of Jesus Christ. No one would have ever been able to predict the evolutionary story that would unfold from those events. Just think of it. Julius Caesar & Christ’s little old Jewish Gramma – who could think they would end up together & evolve the union of the Roman Empire & Judaism into a universal Christianity!

Who could have ever foreseen that? So it’s impossible to see two thousand years into the future without a wildly active imagination. But this time in our history, right now, Regulus has moved once again into Virgo, the sign of the Virgin. i.e. the ‘whole’ Woman. Here She comes folks, so better start strewing NON-GMO kernels of corn in her path.

But what will happen to the Plutocratic elite cabal of banksters who are now secretly running the world from their gated mansions, deposing democratically elected officials & replacing them with their bankster puppets?

Don’t worry. Think big. Think ahead. There will be a war between the individual & the System. That’s already happening. Pluto in Capricorn will take care of the bankster elite. Once they have gained all the power possible & captured control of all the money, which they intend to do, they will all be knocked off when the goddesses storm the castle.

But don’t hold your breath – It’s not going to be tomorrow. These things don’t happen overnight. These things have to be done delicately.

But where did it all start? And where does the fixed star Regulus fit in to the story?

It is my thought that perhaps Regulus, being the beginnings of the human heart, is one of the Guides of our Solar System, & ultimately the cycles of human social evolution. Regulus the heart of the Lion, brings Galactic power, juice & spiritual messages to the people of the Earth from a Higher Source, influencing the direction of our consciousness & growth. Every time the Sun, Moon, planets, asteroids, Nodes & all the other spiritual bodies pass beneath Regulus, they get a jolt, a cosmic-heart message that seeps into the mass consciousness, no matter how long it takes.

When we look into the night sky now & see Regulus, we are only now consciously perceiving light that was sent streaming toward us in the nineteen thirties. While there may be all sorts of conclusions we can draw from that, at the end of the day, they are still merely anecdotal speculations.

But think on this: You may remember the stories that people were told for years about the appearance of the Virgin Mary to the Children of Fatima. It was said that she deposited three letters to be opened at different time intervals, to be read by the reigning Pope, containing messages for the human race. It was said that when the Pope opened the last one, he fainted – & never revealed the contents to the world.

It’s time now. Wouldn’t you like to know what was in that letter?

“Per corem Leonis in signo virginis in sororitatem steallarum te salvamus”. which means: “Through the heart of the lion, in the sign of the woman, we welcome you in the sisterhood of the stars”

BEE bhramari_devi

– “I AM STANDING ON HOLY GROUND” –

Today on this Feast of the Assumption of Mary, I am cultivating the feeling that as I move through the world, that everywhere I go, wherever I am, I am standing on holy ground. In my backyard this morning, watching the butterflies & beetles, I was imagining all the life processes that unfold outside of my conscious awareness: my body digesting food & the circulating of my blood. I pictured the trees working with the elemental beings, taking in carbon dioxide, water, & sunlight to synthesize their nourishment. I felt the micro-organisms in the soil beneath my feet endlessly toiling away to create humus.

I ‘see’ the bee as a spiritual messenger – an interlocutor – Carriers of the Solar-Logos – an intermediary, between the human being & the Spiritual realms – Opening us to those peripheral dimensions of human awareness where super-sensible perceptions can awaken.

The bee carries a signal or frequency that enables transformation; it enables the sterile to become fertile & initiates the process of regeneration…

I don’t perceive any of these things directly; they’re invisible to me, & yet so alive & active & real.

And so I ask: What other growth & transformation might be going on in secret?

Ahh, what a perfect time to tune-in to all the vitalizing alchemy that is usually hidden, as I contemplate the mystery of the Assumption of Mary, the Mother of god.

Glow worms hide in the folds of my blood-Flashing hygienic iron-dust from shooting stars

11 August 2016, Astro-Weather: Perseid meteor showers

perseid-meteor-shower-2016-skyandtelescope-chart

This annual celestial event, gifting us with the cosmic iron of Michael, will be super spectacular this year.

The Perseids begin as tiny specks of extra-terrestrial dust that hit Earth’s atmosphere at high speeds vaporizing from the friction with our atmosphere, leaving behind the streaks of light we call meteors. These dust particles were born in the comet known as 109P/Swift-Tuttle, which recently returned to the inner solar system in 1992. The giant planet Jupiter has nudged Swift-Tuttle’s debris stream closer to Earth’s orbit – So this year, we could see up to 150-200 meteors per hour, TONIGHT & TOMORROW NIGHT.

The best views will come in the predawn hours of Friday morning the 12th, after the waxing gibbous Moon sets around 1 am CDT. The spectacle will continue to improve as dawn approaches because the shower’s radiant — the spot on the border between the constellations Perseus & Cassiopeia where the meteors appear to emanate from — climbs higher.

As always, you’ll see more meteors at a viewing site far from any artificial lights. Look about two-thirds of the way from the horizon to the zenith, but don’t get tunnel vision gazing at one location. Let your eyes wander so your peripheral vision can pick up meteors you otherwise might not see.

mayan calendar

Those who work with the Original indications in the Calendar of the Soul know that Rudolf Steiner lists the birth & death days, as well as other significant occurrences of various individualities, along with the dates in the calendar.  He said of this: “What is presented here can be useful to those who wish to follow the path of mankind’s spiritual development” ~Rudolf Steiner. This is my inspiration for-On this Day in History:

3114 BC – The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, used by several pre-Columbian Mesoamerican civilizations, notably the Mayans, begins

305 – Deathday of Saint Philomena, Steiner speaks of her as being a Greek priestess martyred at age 13 by Roman Emperor Diocletian

559 – Birthday of Radegunde, Thuringian princess & Frankish queen, who founded the Abbey of the Holy Cross at Poitiers, named for holding the relic of the True Cross. Radegunde ate nothing but legumes & green vegetables, she was widely believed to have the gift of healing.

1253 –  Deathday of Saint Clare of Assisi, an Italian saint & one of the first followers of Saint Francis of Assisi

1464 – Deathday of Nicholas of Cusa, a German philosopher, theologian, jurist, & astronomer. One of the first German proponents of Renaissance humanism, he made spiritual & political contributions in European history. A notable example of this is his mystical or spiritual writings on “learned ignorance,” as well as his participation in power struggles between Rome & the German states of the Holy Roman Empire

1877 – The two moons of Mars were discovered by Asaph Hall, an American astronomer. He named them Phobos & Deimos

1896 – Harvey Hubbell received a patent for the electric light bulb socket with a pull-chain

1942 – Actress Hedy Lamarr & composer George Antheil receive a patent for a Frequency-hopping spread spectrum communication system that later became the basis for modern technologies in wireless telephones & Wi-Fi

Jackson Pollock

1956 – Deathday of Jackson Pollock

1965 – the Watts Race Riots begin in Los Angeles, California

1972 – Vietnam War: The last United States ground combat unit leaves South Vietnam

1984 –”My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you that I just signed legislation that would outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes.” -Said as a joke by senile President Ronald Reagan, while running for re-election, on his weekly Saturday address on National Public Radio.

2012 – At least 306 people are killed & 3,000 others injured in a pair of earthquakes near Tabriz, Iran

veil Michael!!!

“…And when in high summer, from a particular constellation, meteors fall in great showers of cosmic iron, then this cosmic iron, which carries an enormously powerful healing force, is the weapon which the gods bring to bear against Ahriman, as dragon-like he tries to coil round the shining forms of men. The force which falls on the earth in the meteoric iron is indeed a cosmic force whereby the higher gods endeavour to gain a victory over the Ahrimanic powers, when autumn comes on. And this majestic display in cosmic space, when the August meteor showers stream down into the human shining in the astral light, has its counterpart — so gentle and apparently so small — in a change that occurs in the human blood. This human blood, which is in truth not such a material thing as present-day science imagines, but is permeated throughout by impulses from soul and spirit, is rayed through by the force which is carried as iron into the blood and wages war there on anxiety, fear and hate. The processes which are set going in every blood-corpuscle when the force of iron shoots into it are the same, on a minute human scale, as those which take place when meteors fall in a shining stream through the air. This permeation of human blood by the anxiety-dispelling force of iron is a meteoric activity. The effect of the raying in of the iron is to drive fear and anxiety out of the blood.

And so, as the gods with their meteors wage war on the spirit who would like to radiate fear over all the earth through his coiling serpent-form, and while they cause iron to stream radiantly into this fear-tainted atmosphere, which reaches its peak when autumn approaches or when summer wanes — so the same process occurs inwardly in man, when his blood is permeated with iron. We can understand these things only if we understand their inner spiritual significance on the one hand, and if on the other we recognise how the sulphur-process and the iron-process in man are connected with corresponding events in the cosmos.

A man who looks out into space and sees a shooting-star should say to himself, with reverence for the gods: “That occurrence in the great expanse of space has its minute counterpart continuously in myself. There are the shooting-stars, while in every one of my blood-corpuscles iron is taking form: my life is full of shooting-stars, miniature shooting-stars.” And this inner fall of shooting-stars, pointing to the life of the blood, is especially important when autumn approaches, when the sulphur-process is at its peak. For when men are shining like glow-worms in the way I have described, then the counter-force is present also, for millions of tiny meteors are scintillating inwardly in their blood.

This is the connection between the inner man and the universe. And then we can see how, especially when autumn is approaching, there is a great raying-out of sulphur from the nerve-system towards the brain. The whole man can then be seen as a sulphur-illuminated phantom, so to speak.

But raying into this bluish-yellow sulphur atmosphere come the meteor swarms from the blood. That is the other phantom. While the sulphur-phantom rises in clouds from the lower part of man towards his head, the iron-forming process rays out from his head and pours itself like a stream of meteors into the life of the blood.

Such is man, when Michaelmas draws near. And he must learn to make conscious use of the meteoric-force in his blood. He must learn to keep the Michael Festival by making it a festival for the conquest of anxiety and fear; a festival of inner strength and initiative; a festival for the commemoration of selfless self-consciousness…”

7:30  Guest Speaker: Maureen Flannery (45 minutes)

After twenty years of serving on the Board of my sister’s assisted living facility in Boulder, I realized that I was also interested in threshold work.  I began to attend National Home Funeral Alliance conferences and work with the Christian Community priests to assist in the vigils and care of the dead when requested.

I would like to give some history of the National Home Funeral Alliance, of which I am a member and regional coordinator.   I will elucidate the missions and distinction between three organizations which work closely in mutual support— National Home Funeral Alliance, Funeral Consumer’s Alliance, and the Green Burial Foundation.

I will give personal history about caring for my own parents when they passed— my mother at the Christian Community in Denver and my father at home.  I would like to read some of my own poems about caring for the dead and relate all of this to Dr. Steiner’s indications about what the living can provide to assist the dead. We will explore how this work can be of mutual benefit to the grieving and those who have recently crossed the threshold“. ~Maureen Tolman Flannery

1760 – Death-day of Count Zinzendorf , A social reformer & bishop of the Moravian Church. The Zinzendorf family belonged to one of the most ancient of noble families in Lower Austria. Among his ancestors was the Emperor Maximillian I.

Zinzendorf did not intend to found a religious organization distinct from the area’s Lutheran Church, but to create a Christian association, by demonstrating practical benevolence, that might awaken dull Lutheranism. He began to think that true Christianity could be best promoted by free associations of Christians, which in the course of time might grow into churches with no state connection.

In 1722, Zinzendorf offered asylum to a number of refugees from Moravia & Bohemia & built the village of Herrnhut on a corner of his estate.

Out of study & prayer, the community formed a document known as the Brüderlicher Vertrag, the ‘Brotherly Agreement’, today known as “The Moravian Covenant for Christian Living.” The Moravian Church is one of the few denominations that emphasizes a code of Christian behavior over specific creeds.

In these communities, a radical equality of spiritual life was practiced. Nobility & Native Americans shared common quarters; slaves were full members of the Church & could be elected to offices of leadership.

Zinzendorf’s interest in missionary work was sparked by meeting two Inuit children.

In 1736, accusations from neighboring nobles & questions of theological orthodoxy caused Zinzendorf to be exiled from his home in Saxony. He & a number of his followers moved to Marienborn (near Büdingen) & began a period of exile & travel, during which he became known as the “Pilgrim Count.”

In 1741, Zinzendorf visited Pennsylvania, becoming one of the few 18th century European nobles to have actually set foot in the Americas. In addition to visiting leaders such as Benjamin Franklin, he met with the leaders of the Iroquois.

Zinzendorf’s theology strongly included the emotional life of the believer as well as the intellectual. He criticized the coldly intellectual approach common in his day, & built a great deal of practice around the transformation of the emotions. He referred to this as the “religion of the heart.”

Friedrich Schiller und Goethe

1805 – Death-day of Friedrich Schiller, some say he was poisoned (GA 64) The coffin containing what was purportedly Schiller’s skeleton, was brought in 1827, into the Weimarer Fürstengruft (Weimar’s Ducal Vault), later also Goethe’s resting place. On 3 May 2008, scientists announced that DNA tests showed that the skull of this skeleton is not Schiller’s, & his tomb is now vacant.

Friedrich Schiller was a German poet, philosopher, physician, historian, & playwright. During the last seventeen years of his life (1788–1805), Schiller struck up a productive, if complicated, friendship with the already famous & influential Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. They frequently discussed issues concerning human freedom. Schiller encouraged Goethe to finish works he left as sketches. This relationship & these discussions led to a period now referred to as Weimar Classicism. They also worked together on Xenien, a collection of short satirical poems in which both Schiller & Goethe challenge opponents to their philosophical vision.

Schiller wrote many philosophical papers on ethics & aesthetics. He synthesized the thought of Immanuel Kant with the thought of the German Idealist philosopher, Karl Leonhard Reinhold. He elaborated Christoph Martin Wieland’s concept of die schöne Seele (the beautiful soul), a human being whose emotions have been educated by reason, so that Pflicht und Neigung (duty & inclination) are no longer in conflict with one another. Beauty, for Schiller, is not merely an aesthetic experience, but a moral one as well: the Good is the Beautiful.

His philosophical work was particularly concerned with the question of human freedom, a preoccupation which also guided his historical researches, & found its way as well into his dramas. Schiller wrote important essays on the question of the sublime, addressing one aspect of human freedom—the ability to defy one’s animal instincts, such as the drive for self-preservation, when, for example, someone willingly sacrifices themselves for conceptual ideals.

~Today I am

The thought of myself

In my Mothers forehead…

May I listen to the voice of the messenger

Bringing her song up from the dead –

A silver star bruised & hanging on a cloud

As I roll gold into life

Like the scarab

& stand with the flowering hawthorn on the obsidian altar…

pentecost st. Nikodemos the HagioriteSt. Nikodemos the Hagiorite

Part 1 in a series from the lecture: Vitae Sophia- The New Mysteries of ‘I’ and ‘WE’, a ‘Hero’s Journey’ from head to heart by Hazel Archer Ginsberg

As we move deeper into the glories of Spring, the elementals awaken & we experience in nature, signs & images of the Earth-soul in ascension.

The sense of arising spreads all around us. And in the play of the elements, fire seems to have the last word in the essential dialogue between the heights & depths. From above resounds the fiery word & the other elements follow the creative call with joy & the beauty of ascent.

Whitsun has been called a festival of flowers. We see this out among the buds opening under the increasing power of the sun, under the etheric & astral influences. The heart of humanity as it opens to warmth & light is like the flower, aligning itself to the sun which permeates the earth. And what pours down from the sun, giving the flower, our image in reverse, the potency it needs, is like the tongues of fire descending upon the heads of the disciples, for us humans.

Rudolf Steiner lectured a great deal about Whitsun. He spoke about Spiritual Science as a Whitsun gift.

Today we can see Whitsun as a festival of the 1st fruits of the Spirit. The festival of today is not bestowed on us by nature. It must be called forth…

Some say it is a festival of the future, for we must grow ripe to withstand the surging of the Spirit. Whitsun is the festival of our true higher self, which as yet only hovers above us like a dove.

At the same time it is the festival of community, arising from the harmonizing of our higher selves which are ONE in the Spirit – The Cosmic Spirit of all pervading Love, Healing Spirit, Spirit of Wisdom, The Comforter, Councilor, Paraclete, Sophia, The Spirit of Truth.

“You shall know the truth & the Truth shall make you free.”

Christ fulfilled His Deed for all mankind. And, to each human individual, in order that we may be able to understand this Deed, Christ sends the Healing Spirit, Fulfilling his promise that each person may have access to the effects of the Deed, which was accomplished for all.

Whitsun presents us with a remarkable & dramatic picture of spirit-filled individuals, anointed & en-kindled with the impulse to speak out of individual freedom regarding the truth & healing power of the Spirit…Speaking the Language of the heart, that all can understand.

The intense rush of spirit planted in the hearts of human beings highlights one of the greatest challenges of being human: placing our individual gifts, our individual ego, in right relationship within the social realm. This challenge is strongly felt during this time of the consciousness soul era.

Our groups striving to know Spiritual Science, working together as a community, have the possibility to create this type of culture, & the opportunity is here for each of us to meet, human to human, where a sacrament is possible in every encounter.

Our individual strength comes from our personal development & is enhanced by weaving our gifts together with others, knitting our social world in conscious community.

During the Christmas Conference the time had come to take up this new evolutionary task, that of transforming or spiritualizing the human social sphere. This mighty impulse was given inspiration by the foundation stone meditation along with the daily rhythms as presented during the conference.

It was Rudolf Steiner’s hope that a “spiritual foundation stone of Love” would be laid in the etheric hearts of all people, providing a bridge between the macro & microcosmic streams in the world & in human beings striving to create a conscious Michaelic community.

This Sophia inspired Michaelic community can be seen as a vessel in which the Christ Being can unite with humanity. Rudolf Steiner created the Anthroposophical Society so that striving individuals can meet to continue this work of evolution. We get a foreshadowing of this through the Whitsun experience of the 1st apostles.

Tomorrow we look into the hearts of the apostles to see the mirror of our own loneliness.

Until soon
