Rudolf Steiner’s Lectures on this day(RSarchives) ‘The Principle of Spiritual Economy’ Lecture X, The God of the Alpha and the God of the Omega, 31 May 1909
“Spiritual thoughts are powerful if we accept them as living forces. When we elevate ourselves to the thoughts that are connected with the past and the future of the earth and allow these momentous events to work on us, then our keyed-up soul will be drawn to these events, far away from the worries of the day. Thoughts of how the ideal of our own sovereign will grows for us out of karma — this plan of destiny — give us courage and strength so that we say to ourselves:
Marja Brown
“However insurmountable some of the problems of our lives may be today, our strength will grow from one incarnation to the next. The sovereign will within us is becoming stronger every day, and all the obstacles will help us to strengthen it even more. In the process of overcoming these obstacles, our will is going to develop ever more, and our energy is going to increase. The trivialities of life, all the inferior things in our existence, will melt away as the hoar does in the sun — melted by the very sun that rises in the wisdom that permeates our spiritual thinking. Our world of feeling is made to glow throughout and becomes warm and transillumined; our whole existence will be broadened, and we will feel happy in it.”
Mellentina Kolzenta
When such moments of inner activity are repeated and we allow them to work on us, a strengthening of our whole existence into all directions will emanate from this process. Not from one day to the next, to be sure, but constant repetition of such thoughts will bring about the gradual disappearance of our depressions, lamentations about our fate, and an excessively melancholy temperament.
Kate Monkauan
Spirit knowledge will be medicine for our soul, and when that happens, the horizon of our existence widens and implants in us that way of thinking that is the fruit of all spirit knowledge. This resulting way of thinking and feeling, this attitude of mind and heart, must be considered the ideal state to which spiritual scientific endeavors can lead. All discord, all disharmonies of life will disappear opposite the harmonious thoughts and feelings that bring about an energetic will. Thus, spiritual investigation proves to be not just knowledge and doctrine, but also a force of life and a substance of our soul. Seen in this light, Spiritual Science is capable of working in life in such a way that it frees human beings from cares and worries. And that is how it has to work in our time, for it owes its existence not to arbitrariness, but to the knowledge that it is needed.” ~Rudolf Steiner

‘The Feast of the Visitation’ – The visible actors (see Luke 1:39-45) are Mary & Elizabeth, although Jesus & John the Baptist steal the scene. John leaps with joy in the womb of Elizabeth, who in turn, is filled with the Holy Spirit & addresses words of praise to Mary—words that echo down through the ages. Then comes the Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55).
One of the invocations in Mary’s litany is “Ark of the Covenant.” Like the Ark of the Covenant of old, Mary brings God’s presence into the lives of other people. As David danced before the Ark, John the Baptist leaps for joy. As the Ark helped to unite the 12 tribes of Israel by being placed in David’s capital, so Mary has the power to unite all in her Son.
1809 – Deathday of Austrian composer Franz Haydn
1819 – Birthday of Walt Whitman, American poet, essayist, & journalist. A humanist, he was a part of the transition between transcendentalism & realism, often called the father of free verse. His work was very controversial in its time, particularly his poetry collection Leaves of Grass, which was described as obscene.
1875 – DSeathday of occultist Eliphas Levy. Steiner refers to his Mexican incarnation in the Karma lectures Vol. 2
1942 – Deathday of Reinhard Heydrich, assinated in Prague. A high-ranking German Nazi official during World War II, one of the main architects of the Holocaust. Many historians regard him as the darkest figure in the Nazi elite; Adolf Hitler described him as “the man with the iron heart”.
1962 – Deathday of Adolf Eichmann, a German Nazi SS, one of the major organisers of the Holocaust. Eichmann was working with Reinhard Heydrich facilitating & managing the logistics of mass deportation of Jews to extermination camps. In 1960, he was captured in Argentina by Mossad, Israel’s intelligence service. Following a widely publicized trial in Israel, he was found guilty of war crimes & hanged on this day in 1962.

“At the core of Rudolf Steiner’s Threefold Commonwealth is the quality of human relationships. And those relationships have three key facets. One is our capacity to recognize each other as unique spiritually free human beings who showed up on earth at this time with a purpose. Two is to understand that we have to find a way to create social equity in how we create our agreements, including contracts, policies, laws, and governance. Third is to be awake enough to others’ material needs that we find a way to meet those needs not by working for ourselves but rather by working on their behalf.” ~John Bloom https://secure.anthroposophy.org/…/viewOnlineEmail.jsp…

Dear friends – What a powerful session in Night School – permeated with the energies of the eclipse of the Buddha Moon.
I was standing in a vast crater with a group of people dressed in white eurythmy gowns. My friend Johanna, who crossed the Threshold on Whitsun, looking full & vital, was there leading us in the Halleluiah. A strange kind of Light-Being was there singing; & what the tone conveyed to me was the feeling of levity. I knew that since we were in the spiritual world we couldn’t be affected by the lunar eclipse which brings the forces of the dragon into the sub-consciousness of earthly humans. And yet the song was also reminding us that when the solar eclipse comes in June – that will be the time to protect the dead – since the unbridled astral baggage from human & adversarial forces working on earth escapes into the cosmic realms. Those of us in the circle were to learn the song, in order to sing it from earth during the solar eclipse, so that the sound vibration can act as shield deflecting that contagion from those newly in the spiritual realm.
Dan Sully
I woke up from the dream at the midpoint of the eclipse of the Buddha Moon around 4:30 am with the thought that the Wesak Festival – the high point of the spiritual year – when Buddha’s forces of enlightenment flow from the higher worlds into the mind of humanity – extends until the next Full Moon in June, therefore these energies will be there helping with the solar eclipse energy that will occur on June 10th at New Moon.
Wesak, which marks the birth, enlightenment & death of Gautama Buddha, is a living event. At the exact moment of the Taurus-Scorpio Full Moon, the Buddha is said to return to earth. We can create an imagination of the Christ standing before the Buddha receiving the wisdom of peace on behalf of all humanity – radiating out this blessing thru-out the earthly realms.
The Buddha known as ‘The great Revealer’, brings a calm clarity of thinking that helps us see the reality of our Oneness. Using dispassion & discernment helps to sweep away all that hinders recognition of this truth. Before we can truly see, we have to free ourselves from the many forms of illusion & desire that veils our sight.
Sue Schlen
A new world is now being conceived – & when the Bulls eye of the soul is opened, the seed of light which was planted on Holy Saturday starts to radiate from the Earth herself. The month of Wesak is a blessing that plays a crucial role in the generation of that light, thru us…

Dear Friends – Wednesday 26 May is Wesak* & the start of the eclipse season for 2021. Tonight, the silver disc of Bella Luna in her Full phase hovers huge in the heavens all night long, then as the birds begin to wake, her brilliant light will suddenly turn blood red, as she crosses Cauda Draconis – the Moon’s South Node or Dragon’s Tail, associated with misfortune & the need to pay for past debts – Cauda Draconis calls for us to heed our karma & to put an end to something that no longer serves…
Belliooeu Quuinerr
Here in Chicago the partial lunar eclipse can be seen starting at 3:30 am CT when we will be able to see the Super Flower Moon pass thru the darkest part of Earth’s shadow – catch her before she sets at 5:26 am CT (it may be thundering & lightning here at the Great Inland Sea of Chicago, you may be sleeping, but we can still live into this image)
This cosmic & earthly event is happening while the world celebrates *Wesak, the biggest Buddhist festival of the year, which celebrates the ‘birth, enlightenment & death of the Buddha’ on one & the same day, traditionally when the Sun is in Taurus, & the Moon in Scorpio.
What does it mean that this year the coils of the Dragon wrap around the Buddha Moon?
The Buddha (whose name means: ‘The Awakened One’ or ‘One who Knows’) is regarded as the ninth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He was born in 563 BC on the Full Moon of May in Vaisakh.
TY Lin
The Full Moon in May is a mystically auspicious time – This ‘Buddha Moon’is considered to be the greatest moment of spiritual contact for the entire year. Great polarities are said to be synthesized at this festival. Hope is revived in the world, & great seeds of beauty, truth, & goodness are planted within us – qualities needed for the unity of humankind.
Ancient Wisdom asserts that there will be a new coming of the World Avatar & those beings who assist them. But the reality set forth & embedded within this festival, is that WE, as a living unity called humanity, are to be that World Avatar, when we can live as “Christ in me”…
The Wesak Festival provides us each year with a reception of the tools of Love & Wisdom, to fulfill this ancient prophecy.
What all the higher beings have done, we can do also, taking up our responsibility as the 10th hierarchy to radiate the Christ Impulse out to all the kingdoms of Earth -becoming like little suns – emanating rays from the very core of our “I”, thru the vehicle of our bodies, from our purified hearts, & specifically from our forehead, where our third eye is located. This is theBulls Eye of Taurus – the Sun of May – & the mystery of the transformative Scorpio Moon.
Buddha Park in Vientiane, Laos
And this year we will have to be extra vigilant – for we are called to meet Cauda Draconis. Rudolf Steinertells us: “that when there is an eclipse of the moon, thoughts stream through darkness down upon the earth; and that such thoughts have a closer relationship with the subconscious life than with the conscious life of the human being. The old initiates often made use of a certain simile when speaking to their pupils. It is; of course, necessary to translate their words into modern language, but this is the gist of what they said: “Visionaries and dreamers love to go for rambles by moonlight, when the moon is full. There are, however, certain people who have no wish to receive the good thoughts coming to them from the cosmos, but who, on the contrary, are desirous of getting hold of evil, diabolical thoughts. Such people will choose the moment of a lunar eclipse for their nocturnal wanderings.” ~Human Questions and Cosmic Answers
Dara Lindy
Gautama Buddha once said: “Your mind is a powerful thing. When you filter it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change.”
Dear friends will you join me in bringing the energy of the Buddha into your thoughts tonight before bed & when you wake..? And for those that want to stand up to the dragon, know that I will be there with you before the Sun rises & the Moon sets.
“Let your love flow outward through the universe, To its height, its depth, its broad extent, A limitless love, without hatred or enmity. Then as you stand or walk, Sit or lie down, As long as you are awake, Strive for this with a one-pointed mind; Your life will bring heaven to earth.” ~Gautama Buddha

Prepearing for Whitsun Contemplation
At the Turning Point of Time the ego or “I” of Zarathustra had to leave the body of Jesus right before the Baptism, to allow the Christ Being to enter; appearing 1st like a dove above the head of John the Baptist as the voice of the father god was heard. Only the “I” of the Nathan Jesus, which was pure, could bear the Christ, & only for 3 years.
Knowing this we may ask: How can The Christ live in us without driving out our “I” or completely extinguishing our individuality with its cosmic forces?
We are able to strive to live into the ideal of ‘Not I, but Christ in me’, only because Christ sent the Holy Spirit, which enables the human “I” to receive the Christ Being fully. Rudolf Steiner tells us: “Christ wanted to dwell amongst humankind, but He did not want to obscure the emerging ego-consciousness of human beings. He had done this once in Jesus, in whom from the Baptism onwards a consciousness of the Son lived in place of his ego-consciousness. But this was not something that was to take place in people of future times. In the case of such people the ego was to be able to rise up in full consciousness, and yet the Christ could dwell with them…so Christ sent that divine being who does not extinguish ego-consciousness, that humanity might be able to retain their ego-consciousness and have the Christ dwell within them.” (GA 214, 30 July 1922)
In the ‘Farewell Discourses’ from St. John’s Gospel, Christ Himself characterizes this coming of the Spirit of Truth: “But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit Whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and awaken your memory of all that I have said to you” (John 14:26)
In the 5th Gospel, Steiner talks about how for 40 days after the Resurrection, The Christ was able to provide secret teachings to the disciples about the mysteries of the spiritual world, together with its significance not only for the evolution of the human & earthly world, but also for the world of the gods. But that the disciples were in a sort of mystic state of mind, not fully conscious.
The ‘Farewell Discourses’, also tells us that the Holy Spirit comes to reach right into the inner being of the disciples in order to dwell there as Wisdom, leading to a clear & conscious understanding of these essential secrets of the Mystery of Golgotha.
Jen Norton
And so it is that this promise comes to fulfillment 50 days after the Resurrection, on that 1st Whitsun morning, amidst the surging winds, that the disciples might become apostles, taking up their individual tasks; speaking from the heart -the language that all may understand.
Venta Carlson
As spirit-pupils in the School of Spiritual Science striving to make the content of the Michael School alive within us, bringing us to the Cosmic Realm of the Holy Spirit of Truth, the source of the Paraclete; we can achieve a reality where a renewed Whitsun is possible, now & in the times to come.

“This collection of previously unpublished letters and documents deals with themes that are of tremendous significance for our time: the approaching new millennium; karma and reincarnation; life after death; the workings of evil; the destiny of Europe; and the hidden causes of the First World War. It also tells the story of the meeting of two great men: Rudolf Steiner and Helmuth von Moltke (1848-1916), Chief of the general staff of the German army during the outbreak of the First World War, who was dismissed from his post in 1914 following disagreements with the Kaiser.
Moltke first came into contact with Steiner through his wife Eliza, who was one of Steiner’s esoteric pupils. Steiner’s connection to Moltke included personal meetings, letters, and clairvoyant messages after the General’s death.
