The Dark Moon has gone into the underworld, invisible to our eyes, & hits her New Moon phase exact at Midnight tonight.
In 1382 Nicolas Flamel uses a secret word for Morning Star, Maranatha, which is an old alchemical allusion to Mercury. Maranatha (Aramaic: מרנאתא; Koinē Greek: Μαρανα θα, romanized: marana-tha, lit. ‘come, our lord!’ It occurs in the New Testament -1 Corinthians 16:22. And the last chapter of the Book of Revelation makes use of the same concept as מרנא תא “marana tha” by the Greek ἔρχου κύριε Ἰησοῦ (Revelation 22:20 NA28) “erchou kurie Iesou”, “Come, Lord Jesus“.
I have spoken many times about the reversal that occurred between Venus & Mercury at the time of the Copernican Revolution, & I have often wondered why – to what purpose? This question ever lingering came into focus again today with a new clarity as I read the piece about Maranatha. It all came together with the phrase ‘Come, our lord‘ – the lightbulb flashed that the code revealed in the reversal was our clue to merge the wisdom of Hermes, communicator & messenger of the gods/ the healing caduceus of Mercury’s Staff, with the Goddess of Love & Beauty, so that we can call forth these words of invocation into the etheric realm where the Being of Christ waits for us to receive the formative forces of his healing love.
The recitation of Maranatha as “the ideal Christian mantra”, repeated as four equally stressed syllables Ma-ra-na-tha: “Not only is this one of the most ancient Christian prayers, in the language Christ Jesus spoke, but it also has a harmonic quality that helps to bring the mind to silence. The Lord is Coming! Our Lord has come! Come, Lord! Our Lord, Come! O Lord, come! or Our Lord Comes!
Calling forth in times of need for the comforter, the councilor is a Sophiatic deed that brings us to this etheric vision.

Rudolf Steiner’s Lectures on this day
ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY

1825 – Birthday of Karl Julius Schroer, professor of German literature & language. Teacher of Rudolf Steiner. Political developments in 1860 forced Schröer to leave Hungary for Vienna. In the following years, Schröer researched the folklore of the ethnic Germans, or Danube Swabians, of Hungary. As part of his research, Schröer discovered a Medieval cycle of Danube Swabian mystery plays in Oberufer, a village since engulfed by the Bratislava’s borough of Ružinov. Schröer collected manuscripts, made meticulous textual comparisons, & published his findings in the book Deutsche Weihnachtspiele aus Ungarn (“The German Nativity Plays of Hungary”) in 1857/1858. Several scholars later extended this work.
In Vienna, Schröer became a major figure in Goethe scholarship. He was a founding member of the Goethe Society of Vienna in 1878 & edited the society’s official publication, “Die Chronik”, from 1886 to 1894.
Schröer was especially devoted to Faust scholarship, editing the work & providing a commentary in a two-volume edition of that play. In 1884 he published one of his most well-known works, a text dedicated to Goethe’s biography, manner of poeticizing, & relation to women: “Goethe und die Liebe” (Goethe and Love). Schröer also edited a six-volume edition of Goethe’s dramas. He campaigned for the erection of a Goethe monument in Vienna, which was approved in 1894 with a design by Edmund Hellmann. Schröer died on 16 December 1900, one day after the monument was unveiled.
