~I come
From light & To light
I return
My hands grasp the ring of colors
The gold beak of dawn
The blue eyes of day
The deep red blood of dusk
I gather
Myself, thought & bone
I come
To carry light

Part 7 in: A Summary of THE ST. JOHN IMAGINATION, from ~the Four Seasons and the Archangels, Lecture 4, by Rudolf Steiner
In the Summer-Tide, through ‘the great window of heaven’ we experience an interaction between humanity & the sun forces, assisting us to develop an awareness of our Higher Ego. The summertime union between the sun & earth is actually a reunion between the divine gods of the spiritual sun & their offspring, humankind. We can contemplate this dynamic & bring it to life in our soul most strongly at this time.
We can seek to experience the Ego development of humankind by following the earnest gaze of the Archangel Uriel into the earth, guiding the union of the sun’s inner radiance with the being of the earth.
Like the call of conscience from John the Baptist, the need arises to let the light of the Higher Ego shine into our being, knowing that the union of creator & created is affected by the disharmony from the imperfect deeds of humanity.
We respond to the summertime call for a yearly ‘metanoia’ by reviewing our deeds of the past year, (like we do at the time of the Winter Solstice) while Uriel’s ‘eye of heaven’ gazes down upon us. Let us seek to know the will forces, that our deeds may add to the advancement of the earth’s being.

Blessings and Peace ~Hazel Archer Ginsberg
This was great to read Hazel…also helped me understand a little better the current and last two weeks’ COTS.
How important is it that at Golgotha Mary was not the “Mother of Jesus”..Mary was the sister, plus Mary Magdeline which I have read (from Steiner?) Mary was really Sophia, a an exalted spiritual being , and Mary Magdeline may have been even a higher degree initiate than Lazarus/ John.
I enjoyed reading this immensely esp. calendar combined with “modern” worldly events!
Greetings Brother M –
Yes, good point about the being of Sophia working thru Mary. I want to explore this further as it is such an important revelation.
And Mary Magdalene, another mystery & as you said truly a high initiate.
Thanks for these insights, this is the kind of thing that needs to be more widely revealed, researched & shared.
What Steiner says about the power of working with the calendar that we can really see the path of humankind’s spiritual development when we wake up to history.
Thanks for being part of this process
” Let us seek to know the will forces, that through our deeds, become part of the earth’s being.”
Diving here in Bonaire this time has shown me how desperate the fish and corals are for their survival. Gathering in pods I follow them and they lead me to dead corals and spots which once thrived are now empty. I am thinking it was our imperfect deeds that lead to this.
Oh Hazel…this is scary
How wonderful that you can commune with these creatures & be in the watery element with such awareness…this is a great deed that will have repercussions for the good!
But yes, we must face our collective karma knowing that sometimes things have to die in order to rise again in a renewed way…
Keep love alive, this is your work!!!
