5 June 2020 – “Speaking with the Stars”: NOW TODAY we have a lunar eclipse with the Full Strawberry or Honey Moon opposite the Sun, the Earth shadow on the Moon, & Venus in the stars of the Scorpion. This line of the eclipse – of Sun, Venus, Earth & Moon – creates what is called a T Square, creating challenges & confrontational potentials, with Mars & Neptune opposite the eclipse.
This ultimate martial stance is in the stars of Aquarius, which carries the vision of the 6th epoch when the goal of humanity will be to experience the suffering of other human beings as our own suffering – when we will only be considered to have real knowledge when we recognize the spiritual nature of all life. Mars in these stars can have the tendency to block thru a materialistic perspective, the recognition of what the new must become.
Meanwhile, Venus, the goddess of love, has been retrograde since May 13th, swinging around between Sun & Earth, to create an inferior conjunction a few days ago, standing directly between Earth & Sun, almost transiting the face of the Sun.
Venus weaves in the heavens, in its conjunctions with the Sun, a five pointed star or pentagram around the Earth, which retains in its perfect harmonious form, the picture of the Human Being as a 5-pointed star.
CaravaggioThis form rotates around the zodiac over 1200 years, returning over & over to the same point. In his research Astrosopher Willi Sucher traced this form back to the time of Christ’s incarnation, bringing us TODAY to when the etheric Christ appeared to Saul on the road to Damascus. The Christ Being says to him: “Saul, Saul, Why do you persecute Me?” From this experience Saul was transformed & became Paul. During this eclipse we can align with the etheric Christ & unite ourselves with it as an inspiration & call to action.
With all that is happening in the world around the martyrdom of George Floyd we can remember that Christ said: “…as you have done to one of the least of my brethren, you have done to me.” This is the future realization towards the 6th Age, which we are being asked to cultivate NOW.
All the while, the stars are pointing out – a battle – a confrontation between the old & the new – Adding to this: TODAYs Full Moon eclipse is in Antares, the heart of the Scorpion.
In Human Questions and Cosmic Answers Rudolf Steiner tells us that an eclipse is a physical event behind which a significant spiritual reality is living. When there is an eclipse of the moon, unbridled subconscious human thoughts, urges, desires, are stimulated by what streams thru the darkness down upon the earth. He says: “Visionaries and dreamers love to go for rambles by moonlight, when the moon is full. There are, however, certain people who have no wish to receive the good thoughts coming to them from the cosmos, but who, on the contrary, are desirous of getting hold of evil, diabolical thoughts. Such people will choose the moment of a lunar eclipse for their nocturnal wanderings…
Eclipses of the sun and moon, recurring as they do in the course of every year, may really be looked upon as “safety-valves.” A safety-valve is there to avert danger, to provide an outlet for something or other — steam, for instance — at the right moment. The lunar eclipse, exists for the purpose of allowing the evil thoughts which are present in the cosmos to approach those human beings who are desirous of being possessed by them. people do not, as a rule, act in full consciousness, but the facts are nevertheless real — just as real as the attraction of a magnet for small particles of iron. Such are the forces at work, in the cosmos.”
Since the Moon is in the heart of the Scorpion at this lunar eclipse, we must be aware that streaming thru the shadow to the Earth, come the “thoughts” from the “heart” of the Scorpion, which in our time is a dark heart in need of transformation. Antares works from primal, animal-like survival instincts.
But the good news is that it stands opposite Aldebaran, in Taurus, where our Sun & Venus are – Aldebaran is seen as the star of Michael battling the dragon heart.
So in many ways this eclipse opposition portrays the Michael/Dragon polarity. Scorpio represents the fallen Luciferic nature of the astral body in the human being, the fallen “creative” forces often misused, the impulses of the lower self, driven by passions & self-seeking interests.
The Moon is a complex sphere of activity, but is connected to the lower astral nature of passions & drives, or one could say the untransformed karma which we pick up again before birth.
We see in frequent imaginations the Virgin Sophia standing on the crescent Moon, a symbol of the transformed lunar, or lower astral nature.
On the bright side, Willi Sucher tells us: At the Resurrection of Christ, the Moon entered Scorpio. Here we have a new picture for the Moon in Scorpio. The fallen Luciferic redeemed & transformed.
We can also understand the Moon as the realm of the Angels, who assist us in incarnating & weaving our karma into the upcoming life. It is our Angels who carry our higher becoming, our higher selves, & seek thru our destiny to help us with who we are striving to become.
So we have here some mighty pictures for this “T square” formed by the eclipse line: Moon in the heart of Scorpio under the shadow of the Earth which has a relationship with the subconscious nature. This is opposite the Sun, which represents our higher self in the cosmos, our spiritually conscious self, & is with Venus, which carries the living memory of the Damascus impulse, at the star Aldebaran/Michael, in the stars of Taurus. Above the stars of Taurus, we have this Michael story played out dramatically in the stars in the story of Perseus.
Into this line comes the T square with Mars near Neptune in the stars of Aquarius, the square relationship of challenges & obstacles. Mars which represents our separate earthly self, our capacity to confront the world, & carries also the tendencies towards aggression, is joining with Neptune, which in its lower aspect, serves the activity of Ahriman – the will to harden & mechanize the human spirit, as well as the animalization of the human, binding it to the material world.
Though Neptune also holds the potential, if transformed consciously, to serve the capacity for true inspiration & etheric vision, on a global scale.
Dear friends, the stars are not deterministic, nothing is written in stone, each configuration offers both a lower& a higher possibility. If left to unconsciousness, the lower will prevail, as the opposing forces work in unconsciousness. It is our awakened consciousness, which can bring about the higher potentials.
We are in a very difficult time. It may appear in the world that the lower nature -the unconscious activities, are winning the day. However, the higher perspective is always working in ways that may not be seen outwardly. It is mandatory that those who can see our human potential, our universal shared humanity, our true spiritual nature, carry the banner of Michael now. In the end, the good will prevail.
